  • Beautiful house, incredible ocean views, comforrable with all the needed amenities.

"This home provided us with the most peaceful vacation we have ever had. It was so quiet and so few people in close proximity that it seemed the world was just the ocean and us. We love to hunt for shells on the beach - this beach had the BEST shelling we have experienced - some truly rare finds. The Gulf was very warm and the water was relatively calm. A person can walk in water slightly above their knees for a good distance out. The availability of fresh seafood abounds. We enjoyed it both at local restaurants and from local fishermen for our own preparation in a very well stocked kitchen at the house. And all of this is capped off by the delightful and caring owner of the home, Juan Simon. A nicer man to rent from doesn't exist. Juan's first and foremost goal was our happiness!! He provided service above and beyond all expectations. Certainly Juan is a great ambassador of the Yucatan. I have NO criticisms to offer whatsoever. Las Tunas is the real deal. We look forward to taking our entire family back soon - it can easily acccomidate 8-10 people."

  • Birthday celebration in Progresso

"This is a beautiful home. This house is over 100 years old, but has been recently updated and restored. The owner has restored and kept the beautiful bi-folding doors and windows. We enjoyed the house so much, that we extended our stay with an additional two nights! This house is located in a very quiet neighborhood, and is within walking distance to the Malecon. I cannot say enough about the beauty and charm of this house and the friendliness of the neighbors."

  • Wonderful!

"My husband I just returned from a wonderful week's stay at Casa Santorini. The house was very well maintained, spacious and the King bed was very comfortable. We didn't sleep in the other beds. The ocean breeze was more than sufficient to keep the house cool. We didn't need any air conditioning at all! The kitchen was fully equipped with everything needed for cooking and creating frozen tropical concoctions in the powerful blender. The swimming pool and surrounding area was perfect with palm trees and beautiful blooming plants. Very private, no noise from neighbors and very safe. Bob and Christi were the perfect hosts to ensure we had everything we needed and provided recommendations of local restaurants and customs, and even gave us a bottle of wine to celebrate our wedding anniversary. You definitely need a car, because nothing is within walking distance. If you are looking for a Spring break type atmosphere and night life, you need to go to Cancun. If you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing get away without crowds or souvenir shops, I would definitely recommend staying at Casa Santorini."
