  • Large, bright and very Mexican

"My husband and I spent 6 wonderful days at the Villa. With 4 bedrooms and baths the place would definitely be suitable for a large family. The bedrooms are all huge. The living room(s) one we used for reading the other for watching TV, huge dining room and roomy kitchen were more than we expected. All the pots, pans and cutlery you could need were provided. There is a washer and dryer on the premises although you could only do small washes so for a family that might be an issue. Three of the bedrooms are on the main floor and there is a single large b/r and bath with huge balcony upstairs. Great location. You can easily walk to town where there are lots and lots of typical Mexican restaurants and the food was great. Merida, a city of about 800,000 is a short 25 minute drive. So if you want to shop, Merida is the place to go. 3 Walmarts, a Costco, a Sam's Club and Starbucks along with high end malls can all be found there. And if you are looking for 5 star restaurants you won't have any problem finding them there. You literally park on the beach and the ocean was a very short walk a way. There is a large stretch of sand between the house and the water. The pool is quite small but adequate however it was unheated. The property is managed by a local firm and the gentleman who is responsible for the villa, Marco, is so accommodating. He is literally only a cell call away and was so helpful with suggestions on restaurants and shopping destinations. Love Mexico!!"

  • Stunning casita

"This is a beautifully decorated, very comfortable and impeccably clean home near the Plaza Grande and Paseo de Montejo. The main bedroom suite includes large closets, a lovely dressing area with ample drawer space, an excellent master bathroom and a view of a gorgeous interior courtyard. The kitchen is well equipped and very user friendly. The roof garden is great for meals, lounging and entertaining guests. It's easy to walk to many local restaurants, art galleries, shops, museums and parks, including Santa Ana, Santa Lucia and the Mejorada. Lemeau is an excellent hostess and is very responsive to any need or question that may arise. Her private driver, Juan, is available for tours and local trips - He is an excellent and reliable driver and a treasure of a person. Rosalba, the housekeeper, is also lovely and helpful. For me, this casita was truly a home away from home."

  • 30th anniversary with family and freinds

"My wife and i spent six weeks in this wonderful home to celebrate our 30th anniversary. This home was just everything it was suppose to be, our three children came down for two weeks and a couple of friends for the same time period with lots of room for everyone. The local people of Chelem were all very friendly with lots of local restaurants within walking distance all at a very reasonable price for meals and drinks, we did rent a car which is advisable if you wish to travel to Merida or Progresso for any shopping which there is lots of or a different style of dining.Over all i can say it was the best place for a quiet and enjoyable vacation...."

  • Beduinos

"We just spent three weeks at Beduinos with family and already have our deposit paid for next year. The house is beautiful and the owners are wonderful. it was our first time renting in the area and I don't think we would go anywhere else now. Merida is about 35 minutes away and has everything - old city charm with all the amenities, including Costco. Progresso is about 10 minutes away with a great beach downtown and a fabulous market within the town - be sure to go early in the morning for the fresh fish and veggies. You will need a car - there isn't anywhere within walking distance except miles of beautiful beach. We did lots of day trips to all the little pueblos and puerto towns and thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet on the patio. Thank you Mily and family for everything!!!!"
