  • such a great stay

"We just spent 10 days at the Casa and we enjoyed every bit of it. Although away from town, the place is located just a minute a way from the beach. Diane and Phil made us welcome at all times, breakfasts are yummy, and what great hospitality. outstanding views from deck. thank you"

  • Great Couples Vacation

"Three couples in our early 60's spent 10 lovely days at Casa Palapa. The house is exactly as pictured--no surprises! The beach is beautiful, white sand with great walking in either direction. Water was the perfect Riviera Maya turquoise we have come to love. Had only one late afternoon and evening of rain the whole time. Grilled out every night on the outdoor patio! Property manager Pio was very helpful and his wife Luz cooked us an amazing Mayan meal which we snacked from for two days after! Norma and Eduardo kept the house and grounds immaculately! We snorkeled, swam, walked, shopped, people watched and relaxed in the friendly yet secluded atmosphere. Great food and drink at The Beached Bikini just steps from the house. Only wish there had been a few more places within walking distance to dine. We didn't rent a car but maybe should have as driving around would have been very simple. Can't recommend the house or location enough!"

  • Such a great location!

"This spacious condo is in a great location in Playa. The bedrooms offered lots of storage and plenty of room to spread out. The enclosed patio was a great spot to keep all of our beach / snorkel gear. The construction next door made it less serene that it might have otherwise been. The kitchen included most anything you might need including a coffee pot, blender and microwave. We did have a few minor issues - the ceiling fan in the guest room shorted out so was not available for use and the washer and dryer - which are shown in the pictures - did not work. Since that was one of the reasons we selected this condo, that was a disappointment. The on site manger was wonderful and very available. Also we found the owner to be responsive to emails. Overall, it is a great spot and we'd certainly enjoy a trip back!"

  • great vacation, needs a little TLC

"Had a great eleven day vacation. Staff was helpful after a slow start. Victor stood right next to us at the airport but because he didn't have a sign and we had never seen each other before we didn't make a connection till I called him from the parking lot. My suggestion would be to simply make a "Casa Orleans" sign and avoid the confusion. After that, everything went well. Cleaning lady and pool man were great. House is well furnished. Few things could be improved; Four nice TVs, but three have to be on the same channel, gas grill outside doesn't work (have to use charcoal) hard to get good results, hot water somewhat limited but four of us worked out a system that worked for us. All in all these were small inconveniences and were more than made up for in a very comfortable and enjoyable vacation. Diving arrangements were very easy to make to be picked up at a dock on the beach. The location is great, just far enough from the cruise docks and town to be out of the melee but close enough to get to some great dining options after the cruisers get back on the boat and town returns to normal. Will definitely be back."
