"Can't say enough good things about Casa Callaway, the house and location would be tough to beat. The gated community and ongoing security presense (they stay in the background) was an extra bonus with our young children. Satuday nights with the music from the Riu next door was a little loud but it shut down by 11pm, no issues with this the other nights. However, what made our stay and overall experience truley great was the level service Diego (Maya Luxe property manager), Ara (house manager), Mireya (Cook) and America (Assistant) provided. Day or night they were always available to answer questions, help with whatever we needed, were never NOT smiling, the breakfast, lunches, mid afternoon sacks and dinners were outstanding. Cleaning crew did a great job and we hardly saw them while they were there. We've stayed in many higher end vacation rentals, the level of service we received and the overall experience they provided was the best we've had to date."

  • Loved it!

"We had a great stay. 3 nights in mid-July. The city gets hot/humid that time of year, but you can still stay cool in the house! Even though pool is small and shallow, it managed to stay refreshing throughout the day and night. Overall great style, very clean, awesome laundry. Couple of things to note: - Gentleman who let us in when we arrived mentioned internet would be down for 12-24 hours. It never came back the whole time we were there. There are plenty of travel books available in the house, so we weren't totally in the dark, but the location isn't easy walking-distance any internet cafes (as far as our disconnected research could find), so if you're planning on doing work while travelling, that might be problem here. Or maybe it was a one-time thing. :) - Location is great if you have a car. All of our research for exploring Merida pointed us north quite a ways, so I don't recommend this house if you're without a car. We walked it a few times, but the crowded sidewalks, zooming busses, and heat made the walk unpleasant to do over and over. - Friendly neighbor woke us up on a Sunday morning to let us know to move our car due to a weekly street closing for bicycles. He seemed surprised that we weren't warned. Very nice guy! There were a couple other cars parked still on the street that didn't get towed, but I'm happy to not have taken any chances. Check with the owners about the Sunday parking issue to get more clarity. Again, overall very happy, definitely 5 stars."

  • Outstanding

"Exactly as advertised, A+ property managers. Superb location. Sometimes weak internet connection but was able to stream video most times we tried. Would definitely return."
