  • Wonderful villa in the center of Cozumel, a true oasis

"We stayed 6 nights over new year 2016/2017. We were two families of 7 people. We all loved everything in the house and garden, it felt like being guest at someone's home. Silvia is an adorable women, what she didn't have in length :) she truly compensated in hospitality, smiles, adorable food. If you seeking a house with soul and not seeking the modern "boxes" this is a place to fall in love with. Deb was always helpful and we can really recommend villa oasis - we are coming back, that's a promise."

  • Perfect place for quiet relaxation and incredible snorkeling!

"My wife and I stayed at La Iguana #3 over Christmas and it was a perfect getaway! The condo is tucked towards the end of the road on the very North end of Half Moon Bay. Everything was just as described. It was kept clean every day. We didn't cook, but there are all the basic utensils. If you are thinking of doing a lot of cooking, I would recommend stopping at Mega or somewhere in Playa (cheaper and better options). The apartment isn't like the high luxury apartments you might find in Playa or on Akumal beach - and that is what makes it great! If you want a thumping nightlife scene and scores of people looking to party, this is definitely NOT the place for you! If you want to be a little off the beaten path, have incredible snorkeling right from your apartment, sleep to the sound of waves, and still have access to great restaraunts and activities, this place is perfect! There are a thousand things to do in the surrounding areas, but we didn't leave Akumal once and we don't feel like we missed out of anything! There are several places to eat within walking distance, but I would highly recommend renting a bike ($35 for the whole week per bike) from the office. Actually, our daily ritual of riding our bikes to explore the town was one of our favorite activities! The snorkeling in front of the apartment is incredible! Don't be like the idiots who wander around, trampling the delicate coral!! Once you get out to the deeper water, you'll find schools of all types of fish, turtles (I only saw one), barracuda, urchins, rays, and even some eels. We actually saw a barracuda jump out of the water while hunting a bunch of jumping baitfish! Careful, however, the current can be strong on windy days! If you go to Akumal beach, you'll see that it is VERY different than half moon bay. LOTS of people but I would highly recommend it. Don't bother paying $25 per person to get a guide. Simply walk about 200 yards (meters) South, past the boats, and go in. There are plenty of turtles to see there and all you have to do is look for them. Swim further and find coral life (don't touch). I few of the other reviews mentioned the heat in the apartment due to the large windows, so that was an area of concern for us. We found that while it did get warm by the windows, as long as you open the window at night, it says pretty comfortable."

  • Perfect Vacation

"Where do I start?... Pros: Booking Process – Easy and convenient. Working with Judson was an absolute pleasure and we really appreciate the savings and service we received by booking through Exotic. The Grounds – El Dorado Royale is a beautiful resort. The grounds are very well maintained with numerous pools, trails, beach, tennis court, gym, outdoor and indoor restaurants, etc. We enjoyed a lot of walks admiring the perfect weather and stunning views. In the afternoon, we would usually either swim or relax by a pool. The pools were clean, calm and there was certainly no shortage of them. The layout of the resort is very well designed. Despite the grand size of the property, even popular areas were never too loud or crowded. The Staff - Amazing. Everyone went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We felt pampered the entire time. The Food - Wow! I can honestly say that I’ve never had a Caesar salad as fresh and delicious as in Jo Jo’s. And Santa Fe Grill, I am positive would impress even Top Chef critics. Even after already eating gourmet meals all week long, we were astonished by the dinner at Santa Fe Grill. It was our last dinner at the resort and a perfect grand finale to our trip! Impressive! Cons: Going Back Home – After a full week back home, we are still struggling to adjust back to reality. Being so spoiled at El Dorado, we forgot how to cook, clean dishes, pay bills, etc. Have to re-learn it all over again. And deal with the pain of seeing $$ and $$$ figures on restaurant menus for items that do not compare in either quality or taste to the food and drinks we had at El Dorado. I think I am ready to go back. :)"

  • Best Vacation EVER!!

"I recommend this to anyone that wants to be able to say "Best Vacation Ever!". Katy was very helpful and informative during booking, as well as during and after our trip. Our requirements when we started researching Isla Mujeres was easy beach access and pool with enough room for our group. We brought two families and stayed in condos 5 & 6 and it was perfect. walk straight out to the pool and beach and the Mayan restaurant was easy and delivered to the room too. The beach is the best too with the chairs and umbrellas and space dedicated to Nautibeach and waiters from the Mayan to keep you "hydrated". We rented golf carts and explored the island. I drove by all the other places we considered anywhere near this price and both families agree that nothing comes close to everything had with Katy at Nautibeach. The beds were so comfy, having a kitchen allowed for some eating in, but eating out on Isla is a great part of experiencing Isla too."
