"We were at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach for our son's wedding. I contacted Robert Childs regarding reservations for 18 people. I cannot express how exceptionally helpful that he was. When we arrived, our rooms were upgraded to the Monte Cristo Villas by Yazmin, the desk manager. The villas were absolutely PHENOMENAL! There was more than enough comfortable beds for everyone, as well as plenty of bathrooms. The view is spectacular. It was so nice to have our own pool and hot tub. Robert provided us with the names of private drivers, as well as recommendations for restaurants and activities in the area. Alex Garcia (one of the drivers) was absolutely the most dependable and personable people I have ever met. Robert recommended Puerta Vieja restaurant for our rehearsal dinner. The food was fantastic, and the venue was beautiful! Our vacation/wedding would have never been the same without the spectacular accomodations of Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach. Robert was so easy to reach and took care of all of our needs. He did not steer us wrong on ANYTHING! Our whole group is ready to go back, just without the stress of having a wedding. I highly recommend Robert Childs and Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Monte Cristo Villas."

  • Lovely property near everything in Ajijic

"Beautiful property, including pool, and nice casita. Bob was available and helpful. The only problem we experienced would be that the hot water took forever to heat up!"

"Q.How far from the beach? A. From the house you can take several routes to the swimming beach where it is sandy and there are several umbrellas. 15 minute walk. Q. Noise A. We were here in the off season so there weren't a lot of people. It was very quiet and there was not much road noise. Q. Kitchen A. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need; every size bowl, wine/champagne/margarita/shot glasses, a huge array of pans and utensils, a nice blender, loads of dishes, beautiful silverware and a dish washer. Q. The layout of the house. A. All the rooms are on the first floor. The stairs lead up to the Host's place. Because of the architecture she can't hear you and you can't hear her except for the occasional ball throwing and fetching. There are 2 bedrooms w/ large, comfortable beds and bathrooms w/ large showers supplied with soap & shampoo. There's a beautiful bathroom between the bedrooms which deadens the sound between the rooms. When you walk in the house you are in the open layout of the house; a large room broken up into the kitchen, foyer, parlor, dining area and kitchen. The bedrooms line the back of the house. Q. Parking A. We parked in the car port and out friends parked in front of the house. Q. Host A. Kristi was a pleasure to deal with. She has immaculate taste; there are so many small design details that make this house special. We felt so lucky to have this be our life if even for a short time. She was super cool about letting us have our own space and never felt hovering. The dogs, Kiera and Jack are adorable, non-threatening and don't bark. Q. Groceries A. Comercial Amercicana has amazing eggs, produce, wine, and the best shrimp I have ever had. There is even a section with 8 different kinds of handmade mole. Q. Proximity A. We really liked Tampanco. The lamb is incredible. Puerto Nuevo is close too. The house is only 45 minutes from the border but you feel so far away. Q. Safety A. We felt completely safe in the bubble of Las Gaviotas. There are guards and cameras around the property. Q. Problems A. We really had no problems but Kristi was instantly available to answer any questions we had. BONUS Cute animals; neighborhood pets, a cute chickadee, a roaming cat and a nice seagull. Gorgeous fireplace 3 bathrooms Other comments: The pool is beautiful but when we were there is wasn't particularly warm. The hot tub is decently large and very nice."
