"We were at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Resort for our son's wedding. Robert Childs helped me with booking enough accomodations for 18 people in our party. We were upgraded to 2 Monte Cristo Villas by Yazmin, the front desk manager. She was so delightful and professional. I can't say enough about Robert Childs. He recommended a fabulous venue, Puerta Vieja, for the rehearsal dinner. The food was delicious, and the venue had a phenomenal view. Robert also gave us a list of other things to do in the area, as well as restaurant recommendations. We hired a driver (Alex Garcia) that was one of the most dependable and personable people I have ever met. The Monte Cristo Villas are breathtaking. The view is spectacular, and the amenities are awesome. The kitchen was fully equipped. We even grilled steaks out on the patio. It was so relaxing, and we didn't have to get out of our bathing suits for dinner. Everyone in our party had a very comfortable bed to sleep in, and more than enough bathrooms. Raul, our concierge, was so helpful and took care of all of our needs. Elizabeth, the maid, did a great job!! We loved having our own pool and hot tub. Even though we had the added stress and excitement of a wedding, we were very relaxed and comfortable. Our entire group wants to go back and stay at the Monte Cristo Villas again. I would ONLY book it through Robert Childs. He was so easy to contact and took care of EVERYTHING!! It was a great vacation/wedding experience for all of us. Thanks to Robert Childs and Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Resort."

"Three couples, living in various parts of the the U.S. and U.K. rented Molino de Agua #601 in early November for a reunion. This unit is one of only 11 units in the building where all rooms face the ocean. It was perfect as each couple had a bedroom with king bed, en-suite bathroom and access to the balcony overlooking the water. The decor is up to-date and the furnishings and beds comfortable. During the day the breeze in the condo meant you didn’t need air conditioning but it was available with all rooms having individual controls. The kitchen is well equipped and appliances are new. There is a washer and dryer in the unit which is very convenient. Security was friendly and ever present making for a safe environment - and there is a safe in each bedroom for locking valuables while at the pool. The infinity pool is huge, wonderful for swimming laps, and has a swim up bar for easy snacks and drinks. Help is available on site if you need anything and we found Annamaria & Marcelino a wealth of information on the area. The entire complex is well maintained and beautifully landscaped - located right in Old Town and central to shops and restaurants. The best part of the condo is the wrap around balcony overlooking the ocean, river and malacon. It is spacious with loungers, table & chairs for eating and a grill. The owner is very responsive - we wouldn’t have changed a thing and look forward to our next visit."

  • Our stay was FABULOUS! And without incident. I would 100% suggest

"The house was perfect for our family (kids:7,4,2). We spent SO much time in the pool (shaded so all hours of the day were comfortable and not scorching). The ocean side was a retreat with the white noise of the sea and surf and constant breeze. The beach was raked and beautiful (although no shade at all so we only played on it before @ 9am I really wish there was a thatch roof or umbrella or something to block sun so we could have utilized the ocean side more. The pool is on the street side so you do give up the natural view when you're in the pool but like i mentioned, the shade around the pool is so nice). The house was so comfortable and accommodating. We felt secluded yet safe. Very private with few distractions. A (very) minor thing was lack of hooks to hang wet towels/suits etc so I mentioned it to Francesca and she hung a clothes line near the pool and problem solved. It was perfect."

  • Best Trip Ever

"Villa Gauguin has to be one of the most beautiful houses I have ever seen- and I do a good amount of group travel in houses similar. The price was so incredibly affordable, and the village/view/everything was perfect. We utilized the concierge to pre-stock the house, and other small requests, and they were so willing to help. The house manager & housekeeper were so incredible & accommodating. Everyone at Luxury Retreats was truly top notch-- I can't wait to use them again for our next trip to Dominican. They have a guest for life from me! <3 Thank you all!"
