  • The Best Private Resort in the World

"Salina Del Mar is top notch!!! Everything is thought of and the staff is wonderful. Chef Ericson was absolutely amazing and made some of the best meals we have had in our lives. It felt like a Four Season Resort except no one else was there and the food was better. Jorge (bartender) made sure we were completely happy and would walk our cocktails down to the secluded private beach. The home itself has several lounge areas which made it comfortable to set out and watch the waves or listen to the great Bose sound system wall having an afternoon cocktail or dip in the pool. The tv was complete with satellite so we felt like we were not missing anything from being in the US. They even made sure we had transportation to some of the activities we had booked... I cannot express enough how great these people are, how kind hearted and how much they care that you enjoy your vacation!!! Thank you Ericson, Jorge and Greg, we will rebook next year and are already looking forward to it even though we just left! Thanks from the 5 Arkansas Couples"

  • Excellent location and very large condo

"Condo is very nice and large with plenty of outdoor areas. Loved the location and the neighborhood. Had very nice towels, comfortable beds and a well stocked kitchen. Many great restaurants within walking distance. Building is very nice and safe. Close to the beach and walking distance to 5th Ave."

  • Could not have been better!

"This was our 7th year in a row of spending the first two weeks of March in Guanajuato with family although our first in this home. "Wow" would about sum it up. Relatively quiet, stately upscale part of town clear on the east end of GTO and near the end of the bus line. I was a little dubious to begin with as we had normally stayed in or near the historical center which is near the action. To begin with, there is no hiking up the long steep alleys and steps to get "home" . Only steps are inside the house. The bus stop is about two minutes from the front door and taxis available there also. Buses are a mere seven minutes or so to the Center or a brisk 20 minute walk if you prefer which we did often. Plenty of nice coffee shops and eating places up and down the street. Now the house: It on a small, gated compound shared with the owner, Christel and family. We never even locked our door. Everything seems refurbished, old, first class, with comfortable furniture suited for all eight of us in a bright living room overlooking that part of town with a small park right below. Every room was spotlessly clean, brightly painted and decorated. Christel, herself, really made us feel like part of her family as she shared info about GTO, her family etc. She took exceptional care of us and checked in frequently to see how we were doing. She also made arrangements for transportation to and from the airport in Leon with an outstanding fellow, Israel, whom I'd certainly recommend as well. So, after all that, you will not find a better place to stay in Guanajuato. We can't wait to return."
