Vancouver Island oceanfront rentals

After a few years hiatus we decided we wanted to travel back to tofino and stay at the crows nest once again since we enjoyed it the first time. We had a great time relaxing in the cozy suite. The access to the beach was right across the road. The suite has everything you can think of in the way of supplies for cooking. We would highly recommend everyone to stay there at least once!

The property was so much nicer than the pictures! It was perfect with an unobstructed view of the ocean out the bedroom and living room . Just a great place for two people!

Such a charming “cabin” with unique features! Our only complaint is that the futon couch was not super comfy to sit on while watching TV at night. But in an area like this there isn’t much time to sit inside anyway.

This was perfect for a place to rest and read the books I had put off reading. There was internet and friendly dogs and host, but I had privacy. The outside area is huge with a new patio with barbecue. It is close to the ferry, but you do have to have transportation to go to restaurants or stores. I would stay again.

We consider ourselves fortunate to have immersed in this peaceful, private, beautiful estate on the sea. It is as gorgeous as the photos reveal, and will likely become a highly sought after vacation retreat. If you are considering booking a stay here, my advice is "do not hesitate", as availability could easily become scarce in the near future. The Rose cottage at Seaward is a very private, gorgeous architectural structure with high ceilings, a large, well appointed modern kitchen, and large windows looking out to the sea. The views continue, even while lying in bed in the upper loft master bedroom. The property is very secluded from any neighbors, literally with several private beaches. We enjoyed reclining on the bluffs, watching for whales, otters, reading, meditating, and swinging in the hammock just a few feet from the shoreline at the beach house down below. It truly is a dream-like setting and our only regret is that we could not stay longer. The cottage includes most every amenity you might need, and there is very comprehensive shopping nearby in the town of Sooke. We found some excellent restaurants in the area, but in hind-sight, it might have been better to cook most of our own meals and stay on property. The heavenly "Butchart Gardens" is less than an hours drive and Victoria is about 30 minutes away. While in Victoria, treat yourself to a most amazing, authentic Greek meal at Ithaka Greek Restaurant, family owned, with mother Maria still turning out her fabulous old world dishes. An unbelievable culinary treat. The Rose Cottage at Seward provides an ideal personal retreat, remote enough to be a perfect setting for authors, artists and composers to become lost in their creative muse, yet close enough to amenities when needed. We will indeed return to Seaward in the future, and plan to settle in for awhile, rather than travel around the area so much. Our stay was far too short. Many thanks to our gracious hostess, Dawn, who was extremely helpful and a wealth of information about the area. I owe you a song or two by the sea, and will bring my guitar back next time we're on the Island. 😉
