Shelter Island pet-friendly rentals

This is a lovely, big house with an incredible location on Menantic Creek. It's very well equipped, with bikes, and kayaks and beach chairs. The pool is especially nice, surrounded by tall hedges. I loved the location of the house, midway between the south and north parts of the island, and very quiet. Larry was great to deal with, very responsive and respectful.

Daniel and Cheryl were amazing hosts with very clear and timely responses to any question. The property was clean, very well maintained and exactly as described in the vrbo posting. We went on family walks to Wades Beach, rode our bikes, grilled out and explored all around the island. It was an amazing experience creating family summer memories that will last a lifetime. We even had the opportunity to have some homemade lemonade as one of the neighbor's kids setup a lemonade stand on the weekend. Thank you again for allowing us to experience your special home!

Our family enjoyed Michele and Ryan's place so very much and we can't wait to return! Michele is available and friendly and is prompt to answer any and all questions. The house was perfect when we arrived, spotless indoors, gorgeous beds and linens and a welcoming and beautiful yard, pool and gardens. Michele and Ryan obviously put a lot of love and thought into making their home special and welcoming. It is a true family home, not an impersonal rental. Plush towels, luxury amenities and shampoo, and a well-stocked kitchen. The pool house is adorable, and a great hang out spot for tweens and older kids. The location and setting of the house is very special, 5 minutes from Main Street but yet tucked away on an acre of private property and very quiet. Thank you Michele - we will be back!!

I’m afraid that I’m not going to find the right words to fully capture what a great experience we had at this property. Our party of 8, which included 2 toddlers, were extremely comfortable in this home. The ranch layout is perfect for traveling with little ones. It made us feel confident that the kids were safe, and the way the rooms are situated made it easy to put the kids down to sleep without hearing the adults in the main gathering areas. The home was spotless and extremely well equipped: toilet paper, paper towels, bath towels, beach towels - it was all there and then some. The pictures of the actual property do not do it justice; it is absolutely stunning. There was plenty of green space for the kids to safely run around, and the tennis court was beautiful and well maintained. Our only regret was that we didn’t book this home in the summer so that we could use what looks like an amazing pool. I could go on about the property, but who really made this stay easy was Tian, the property manager. She was beyond prompt with all of her communication and extremely accommodating; I wish that all property managers and owners could make renting experiences so positive. The communications with the owner couldn't have been better. They made every accommodation that we asked. The house was completely as advertised and clean. We had a great time and would love to book the house again in the future. Highly recommend for a quick getaway of the City! Especially during Covid. Thanks again!

We loved every minute of our stay. It’s perfect for families with kids. We were 4 adults and 4 children and were super comfortable. The outside area is beautiful. The deck overlooks the pool and gorgeous garden. We BBQ’d every night, made s’mores in the outside fireplace. The house was impeccably clean and organized. The host was so kind and easy to get to n tough with. She was waiting for us with snacks and gave us a tour of the house on arrival. We really can’t wait to come back!!
