  • Excepcional experience the 2nd time around

"My family stayed at Carissa's apartment for a last-minute, 4 night stay. It was impecable and her responsiveness was outstanding. We'de previously stayed there for a longer period several years ago, and when we found ourselves in Buenos Aires rather last minute we were lucky that her apartment was available and she could accomodate us. The apartment is located in an idea part of Palermo, easy walking distance to public transport and many parts of BsAs that you're likely to visit. The kids loved the park the next block up and we all loved the easy access to grocery stores and restaurants within a 2 block radius. The apartment itself is modern with a high level of interior design and functional, modern ameneties. Carissa is very responsive and available and being American made for very easy communication - which wasn't the case for another apartment we rented where communication was slow and very difficult due to language, and more importantly cultural, barriers. Overall, an exceptional experience we'll surely repeat next time we're in BsAs."

  • Comfortable apartment

"We stayed here for just over two months. The apartment is in a great neighborhood of Palermo Soho. Lots of shops, restaurants, parks, clubs, music, etc. We walked nearly everywhere from here and only took cabs to the airports and ferry terminal. Cabs are plentiful and easy to get right outside your door. The apartment is comfortable. The pull-out couch worked well for our adult son's visit. Not a fan of the bed that sits so low to the ground, but I guess that's very common in Argentina. It was comfortable but a bit soft for our tastes. The small kitchen was fine. We mainly stored snacks and drinks in the refrigerator. We ate out nearly all the time. Whatever we needed in the kitchen was there, ie corkscrew, paper towels, silverware, dishes, etc. We just had to replenish some supplies since we stayed there so long. The shower was fine..plenty strong and lots of hot water after a short wait. Bathroom was adequate; towels were high quality as were the bed linens. We appreciated that! Balcony furniture was a bit uncomfortable, but nice to have a place to sit. The owner has ordered the sliding door to be replaced; we couldn't lock it. We worked the entire time we stayed in Argentina and really appreciated all the effort the owner and manager went through to get the highest speed internet available in Buenos Aires. Worked consistently great. The biggest issue we had with the apartment was outside the control of the owner: the street noise. We live in a downtown area at home but never appreciated the concept of noise pollution until we traveled to South America. The noise is fairly constant except from 6-9 am. It's really important to either bring a sound machine with you or to have an app on your phone to block out the noise from the bars, the squeaky buses, loud motorcycles, etc. It's part of being in a big South American city, but this area appears especially noisy at night with all the bars and restaurants. While the apartment isn't what we would consider luxurious, it worked out well for us. We traveled around Argentina and appreciated having our stuff kept safely in the apartment. I definitely recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a nice neighborhood and a safe, comfortable place to stay. The managers were great with this suggestions and help. They checked in on us to make sure all was ok. We appreciated that. Also nice to have weekly cleaning."

  • Lovely, quiet, and clean

"This bright studio is conveniently-located in a lovely area of Buenos Aires, steps from cafés, restaurants, bars, and shopping, but its location in the building is insulated from any street noise. The space was clean and well-appointed, with a new couch that can fold out to a double-bed. Cecilia, the property manager, is a joy to work with -- professional, helpful, and warm. We could definitely recommend staying here."

  • Paradise in Palermo Soho

"Look no further, this is the place to stay! When I initially found this property, I loved the photos and description but was a little concerned about the few (albeit excellent) traveler reviews. Despite my initial concerns, my family and friends rented the property during our recent stay in Buenos Aires. I am happy to report the description of this property as being "very special" is spot on and no exaggeration. Casa Gorriti is truly a jewel hidden behind a pair of modest front doors. As soon as our group of 7 arrived at Casa Gorriti and stepped inside, we fell in love with this house. The property is beautiful! It has 3 bedrooms, each with an en-suite full bathroom and plenty of closet space. There are also 2 half bathrooms, one located on the ground floor and the other located by the outdoor swimming pool. The house is tastefully decorated, providing a comfortable, warm and relaxing environment. Everything is high quality, and the house is meticulously clean. The small, heated outdoor pool and terraces are great places to relax at the start or end of the day. The location of Casa Gorriti is perfect and exactly what we hoped for. It is located in upscale Palermo Soho, where restaurants, bakeries, and boutiques are everywhere, and the neighborhood is well kept. A small market is located a mere 2-3 blocks away, and larger supermarkets are only a mere 10-15 minute walk. Taxis are easy to find, if needed, and there are plenty of places to walk and explore. The property is also managed by excellent staff who rivals any concierge team in a five star hotel. Both Martin, the property manager, and Juan, are consumate professionals who provide outstanding concierge service for their guests. Nothing was a problem for them. We needed private airport transportation for our group of 7, and my 7 friends staying at a nearby rental property, also managed by Martin and Juan. Not a problem, Juan arranged it all. We wanted to do a city tour with our large group of friends also staying in BA. Juan referred us to Maria Corbalan of Bespoke Tours, and Maria flawlessly took care of our group of 32 people. My family and friends wanted to have a private dinner of Argentinean BBQ cooked at one of the rental properties. Martin & Juan referred us to private chef, Augustina Gotelli, who prepared an amazing dinner on very short notice for 28 people. This property and its staff provide the complete package. Something truly special and not to be missed!"
