"Casa de Guerrero is the perfect base when visiting Cartagena with a large group. The location is fantastic and everywhere can be reached by foot. The house was very clean and homely yet practical for a holiday rental. The team at the house are extremely accommodating and make the stay even more pleasant as they provided us with local advice in addition to buying supplies for breakfast and any other requests. We really enjoyed our stay at Casa de Guerrero and would have no hesitation recommending it as a holiday rental!"

  • Perfect place in the Old City!

"This apartment was outstanding! Here are the main reasons you should stay here: 1) fantastic location; 2) beautiful interior and feels like home 3) great amenities; 4) excellent service; and 5) did I mention location?!? INTERIOR and AMENITIES: My husband and I traveled with his sister and her husband. We stayed in apartment 303 and they were in the adjoining apartment 302. If you are traveling with others, it is great to have the adjoining apartments, however if not--the doors lock in between the rooms, and you cannot hear anything through the walls so they are great separate as well. Apartment 302 is slightly smaller than 303, but you still have a full bathroom, kitchenette, and balcony, as well as amazing stonework and storage in 302 (as well as 303). Both balconies have amazing views of the street below, and easy access to the rooftop terrace. It was very clean and had hot water (hard to find in Cartagena). LOCATION: It is very easy to walk everywhere from this location. It is anywhere from a 3 to 10 minute walk to any of the plazas from these apartments (Santo Domingo, Fernandez de Madrid, and San Diego) meaning very close walk to all types of shops and restaurants. You can also walk to the Getsemani area in about 10 minutes. If you aren't much for walking, no worries--there are always cabs driving through the city. Being centrally located, the area is typically busy and bustling with people, shops, street vendors, etc. That is one thing I actually love about the apartment! However, it means that will likely hear some noise on the outside streets. At night, was generally pretty quiet, except for a couple nights, but we were staying there over the holidays (new years eve) so it was not excessive or unexpected. SERVICE: I corresponded with Barb who provided all the rental details. Not only did she provide information immediately, but she also offered extra information such as suggestions on where to visit, who to contact about the apartment, and things to do in the area. She was very efficient and so friendly. She responded quickly and had answers or resources for additional info. Ben is the apartment/building manager and was also very helpful and efficient. He was there to meet us when we arrived, showed us around the apartment and rooftop terrace, and responded to any inquiries immediately when we were there. I HIGHLY recommend Balcones and intend to stay again in the future!"
