Muy bien ubicado.

5 of 5
Todo es como en los fotos e descripción. El apto es cerca el Buquebus terminal y zona histórico donde lis mejor restaurantes. Paul y familia vive el puerto alado y son buen hosts.

Very nice apartment on the peninsula

5 of 5
My husband and I stayed here for a month and we were very comfortable. The apartment is small but well equipped for two people. It's near the end of the peninsula so the neighborhood has a more residential feel than further north where there are mostly hotels. It's close to a really good grocery store, the marina with wonderful restaurants, and some great shopping (it's on Gorlero and only a block or two over from Fashion Road, with the high end designer boutiques). We didn't even rent a car - the bus system is easy and cheap. About a buck to go anywhere local, and the bus terminal is only a mile up Gorlero if you want to take the intercity bus to Montevideo, etc. The building has been very well maintained, and the staff are truly wonderful. Just make sure you know more than "tourist" Spanish as almost no one speaks English. One thing you need to know - Wednesday is laundry day - drop your laundry at the front desk in the morning and the housekeeping staff will take care of it for about $8 per load. There are no self service laundry facilities in Uruguay. It's the little things.....:-) We had a great experience staying here; Bettina is wonderful to work with. She called several times during our stay to make sure everything was going well, and when I mentioned a few minor things that we needed (a measuring cup, wooden spoon) she had them delivered immediately! One last thing....we loved being on the 11th floor. Not only was the view beautiful, but climbing all those stairs helped burn off all the fabulous food we enjoyed! Thank you Bettina for a wonderful experience!
