Vacation rentals near Hope Lodge

To say we were impressed with this cottage is an understatement. From getting fresh-baked cookies and wine at check-in, to getting a whole beach setup when we mentioned going to Folly Beach, Margie and Sid outdo themselves to make sure your trip is memorable! The cottage is tucked away in the backyard, it was very quiet and peaceful when we were there. The location is great! About 15 minutes from downtown Charleston, about 20 minutes from Sullivan's Island and Folly Beach. I wouldn't stay anywhere else if visiting Charleston. This property is well decorated, clean, and has anything you could possibly want to cook a meal if you're not to busy eating the amazing restaurants in the area. Close to everything and in a gorgeous neighborhood. The hosts are quick to respond to any quails and it is very private.

Enjoyed our stay! Great location to Folly Beach’s restaurants, shopping, pier and beaches. Just a couple of things that I observed. The lamp on the left side of the bed was a little wobbly around the bulb when trying to turn on and off. I have MS and my balance is a little off so I noticed the top on pedestal sink in the bathroom was loose. When I would hold on to it while brushing my teeth I had to be careful. Don’t mean to nitpick but thought you should know. I loved the shower head. The bed was very comfy. The little front porch was nice to sit on and relax. We had a great time and I’ve already told others about your place and they want to stay. So I’m sending them the link. We are already looking forward to staying again!

We stayed here for a long weekend to celebrate my sister’s bachelorette. The property had so much space for our large group and plenty of beds that every person was comfortable and had a bed to sleep in. The back deck with pool was perfect for laying out and enjoying the beautiful weather. The beach was an easy walk from the house. The only issue we had was the property was still being cleaned when we checked in and we had to wait an hour past when we should have been able to check in before we could bring our stuff in and get settled. Overall, we had an amazing time during a 4 day stay and highly recommend this property!

My friends and I enjoyed a long weekend at “The Penny Palace” this past weekend. It was perfect and everything we needed. Ted and Jake (the hosts) had everything perfect at the house to make our trip seamless and easy. They make personal touches like leaving a sweet note to welcome us, along with some refillable water tumblers, breakfast breads in the kitchen, and a well stocked selection of K-cups so we could enjoy coffee without the stress of having to get to a store to buy groceries just after arriving- along with many other “ extras” throughout the house to make it comfortable, and easy while traveling. This house is in a quiet, nice, neighborhood. Me and the other 8 ladies staying at this house felt safe here. It is easy to walk to some places to eat and shop. Or, it is so close and central to everything you can take a simple (and cheap) Uber ride to a specific place and walk around from there. This house is just perfect! Has the Charleston charm with well decorated interior. Also, stocked well with miscellaneous items to help for a smooth trip. Definitely recommend and would stay here again!!

Very nice accommodations …clean..well equipped with lots of amenities..great location ..Lee quickly responds..we didn’t have any issues just asked for some recommendations ..we’ll be back‼️

Our 3rd time at the property. Great location. Love waking up to the sound of the ocean. Easy walk to all the shops, restaurants and Bert's in Folly.
