  • Perfect bay vacation home

"This house was perfect for our family. We have stayed at many on the bay in Fairhope and Michael and Lisa's home was the most well appointed home we have stayed. The location was perfect, view was amazing and the home had everything we needed to cook and relax and made for the perfect vacation spot. Communication was easy and they were very quick to return our emails. Home was extremely clean and well appointed with linens, towels, household goods (i.e pots & pans, dishes, glasses, coffee pot and coffee grinders etc.) outdoor furniture, and the beds were extremely comfortable. We will stay again for future trips to Fairhope, Al."

  • Loved the location

"We really appreciated the different areas of the house to gather and chat with friends that dropped by. Location was easy to find and very accessible to different activities. Will definitely use the same house if in the area again."

  • Perfect cottage on the river!

"This is a wonderful property inside and out! Everything about the décor is perfect for a waterfront cottage, casual, but nicely upgraded. The screened porch is larger than pictured, and also includes a sitting sofa and a long picnic table. The large, two-level open outbuilding on the river allows for grilling meals or just sitting and relaxing on the river. We took the two-person kayak out daily and I swam in the river. There is a large high-def TV in the living room where we watched movies in the evening. The cottage is about 15 minutes’ drive from downtown Fairhope and Mobile Bay. Fairhope is a pretty town that offers some great restaurants and shopping, an art center, a walkway with fountain along the water and more. We took afternoon and evening strolls there, out onto the piers and along the beach, where swimming in Mobile Bay is also an option. We took a day trip to New Orleans, a little more than three hours’ drive, and to Gulf Shores, about an hour away. A spring getaway with outdoor activities in a warm destination and some southern culture were our goals for this trip. It delivered everything we anticipated. This cottage is ideal for a romantic getaway, a trip for a family of four, or for friends looking for a great vacation in the south. We had read about the history of Fairhope and found this cottage searching Home Away. This was our first trip there, and I believe we were the first guests at the cottage, newly offered this season. We did not meet the owners, but they were very friendly and answered all of our questions promptly via the email correspondence we had with them. I would definitely recommend this property for a lovely vacation!"

"I would definitely rent this home again. A big plus was the covered porch looking out on the bay & the location"
