  • Great Labor Day getaway

"Wonderful place to stay with short walkway to beach. Balcony accessible from living room and both bedrooms; nice to sit there in the morning with coffee/tea and listen to the ocean. Was a great family getaway and look forward to going back again."

  • Perfect family vacation spot

"This unit and complex as a whole is PERFECT in every way! Yes it's a little older than some I have stayed in, but it is very well kept and nothing was broken or unusable! I had read that some reviews that it needed a good deep cleaning....I will agree there were places that could use a good scrubbing, but overall the unit was as clean as my own home. We did find some cheerios under the couch but i would hate for you to see what is under my own couch! I said all that to say, the bathrooms were clean, the sheets were clean and our cooking area was clean! In my opinion those are the things that matter!! Overall it was a VERY clean unit. The complex as a whole had so many convenient amenities and we discovered the Sassy Bass on this stay...OMGoodness, between the complex itself and the Sassy Bass, there was no need to venture into the busy part of town AT ALL!! We had everything we need right there! We were able to rent beach chairs for the 4 days that we were there and let me tell you those guys were the best! They had our spot set up every morning just like we had asked and were constantly checking on everyone! The pools are wonderful...something for ALL ages and the indoor pool was so nice for the day after we let ourselves burn a bit and needed no sun the next day! And, because there is so much, nothing was EVER too crowded and we were there on a holiday weekend! I want to make a comparison.... a couple of years ago we went to Waterscapes @Okaloosa Island. Now this is pretty much one of the most luxurious places my family has stayed. It is VERY pricey in my opinion. After staying at the Plantation this past weekend it was hands down our favorite of all places that I have EVER stayed including Waterscapes!! The only thing that Waterscapes has that Plantation does not is a lazy river. And who wants to have to be ON the beach before 6am in order to get a spot at the Lazy River place because it's so crowded you have to get out there early or have NO beachfront!! The grounds were also VERY clean. I constantly saw people making sure that things were taken care of on the outside... AGAIN OVERALL my new favorite place to stay!!"

  • A good place for new empty-nesters to relax and rest

"My wife and I finally got the youngest child off to college this fall. We have wanted to vacation on the beach in the fall for many years. It finally happened. The condo was very nice. It appeared to be newly renovated as everything looked new. The weather in Fort Morgan was fantastic in October! We were both bothered, however, by the fact that the sliding door to the balcony would not lock. That needs to be fixed. Also, we had to buy 4 bulbs for the missing and burned out bulbs in both bathrooms. The bathrooms are small, which was not a big problem, but, there is virtually no counter-top space beside the sinks in either bathroom on which to place your personal items. Otherwise, the condo itself was really comfortable, quiet, and right on the beach. It is a 15-20 minute drive back to Gulf Shores to find nice restaurants or go shopping. That was a little much, but did not spoil the good time. Security at the Plantation East appeared to be very tight which made us feel secure. Beach rentals were still available in October which we enjoyed. Overall, the location and the condo suited us very well. We had a very much needed, relaxing vacation without kids! I would recommend this condo to others and would not hesitate to stay there again. Thanks!"

  • Quaint and quiet

"Nancy was great to work with. Her information was spot on. Had a very relaxing peaceful stay. The view of the Pool, beach, and ocean were wonderful to wake and end the night with. Will probably return if there are available dates for my next trip down. - Jay"
