"This place was perfect for our small family of 3!
I have to admit that we usually pay much more for a condo during our annual beach weekend, so we are used to a certain standard as far as a modern building, condo size, beachfront, etc....but now that I've stayed here, I'm asking myself, "Why would I pay more?".
Upon our arrival, I was happy with the covered parking spot that we had. We easily brought our bags up to our floor, none of the usual trudging through a huge parking deck to get to an elevator, than trudging through a huge reception area to get to another elevator.
When we first walked through the door, I was a little thrown off because the entryway is the bedroom. I didn't like that at first, it just felt weird. But I got used to it. I also didn't like that the bedroom window was covered by a large piece of cool art. Not having a window made the room feel somewhat claustrophobic to me, but I got used to that as well.
Making our way thru the rest of the condo, I thought it was small, but fabulous. The bathroom was good sized and updated enough, the kitchen and living room combo was beautiful, and felt just like home!
The view has sadly been obstructed by another condo across the street, but I still thought the view was pretty. I could still see some waves, and I had the treat of waking up early one morning to a storm rolling in off the water. I thought the contrast of the lighted strip of buildings against the backdrop of those dark, low-lying clouds was spectacular. The beach access still remains, and it was very convenient.
The condo was stocked with everything you might need, extra towels, blankets, pillows, appliances, dishes. Roger hasn't missed a thing. It really did feel like home, away from home. The only thing I missed was a laundry closet, but I realized after a few days that there was a laundry on the ground level, so that was cool. I also appreciated the outdoor showers for rinsing off after a day of beach play, and the swings, which were nice to sit in and watch the rain.
As you can tell, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The only thing I regretted was not having access to a pool, but even on the day it rained, we had a blast in the gulf.
In closing, if you are the kind of person who has to have a fair amount of luxury, this isn't the place for you. But if you are ok with staying in an older place, and have a smaller group (I would say no more than 4), you might just fall in love with this place. I did!"
