  • Comfortable Stay

"Very Comfortable beds, however not so much the couch. It was a little smaller than expected, but still overall was a great time."

  • Great Winter Stay

"My wife and I spent our 2017 Winter in 403B. Love the walk in showers and wood laminate floors, it gave a warm feeling to our stay. Owner is a local resident and has great concern and care for this unit. The unit is conveniently located off the elevator for quick access of unloading and daily activities. Kitchen is fully furnished and lacks for nothing. PS: This unit is meant for persons who care about another ones property. If you are coming hear to party and destroy, you might as well look elsewhere. It is a nonsmoking unit also, so no worries of stale, nasty, foul air. Bob and Mary Behrends"

  • Pool was great! Very tropical looking!

"We enjoyed our stay at GSSR. The unit was clean & well stocked. We had a two bedroom unit & both beds were very comfortable. The couch (pull out sofa) was not very comfortable. It was too hard to my liking. The balcony was very spacious with plenty of seating. The balcony access from the bedroom was nice & convenient for early morning coffee & surf watching. The balcony provided a very nice view of the ocean. The beach access was only a very short walk from the condo. I liked the facility having its own place to wash all the sand off just before re-entering, as opposed to beachside. The pool was great with lots of room. The rock fountain cascading into the pool was so pretty. The net fencing around the kiddie pool with a gated entrance was nice. The hot tub was bigger than most & was very convenient in location to the pool, but it was surrounded in lush tropical plants & palm trees. The lagoon view from the back balcony & pool was picturesque! I loved the tropical look surrounding the pool area! There was plenty of tables, & seating around the pool to lounge around. The pool stayed open till 11:00 pm, which was nice!!! The tennis courts was an added bonus for those who love to play. One negative was trying to maneuver the luggage carts & racks around the walkway up to the elevator. It was a tight commute & the carts didn't roll well. There was some outside face lifting going on while we were there & one day we couldn't sit on the balcony for about 5 hours. But, it was ok b/c we went to the beach. I did have a bit of a scare though. Maintenance knocked on the door & I was by myself. They needed to come into the room to place a notice on the sliding doors to balcony, about not using the balcony until 5:00 pm. I went to the door when I hear the knock. I asked who it was & no one answered. I asked several times but still no reply. I was holding the deadbolt to keep them (?) from entering. I kept saying if you don't tell me who it is I'm calling security. Still nothing! I could hear voices outside the door, of which I could tell it was a man or men. Finally they were able to over power the deadbolt & opened the door. I was terrified! My heart was pounding! Immediately I noticed one of the men had a name tag identifying him as a GSSR employee. He apologized over & over.He said they knocked & no one answered & they couldn't figure out why their master key was not unlocking the deadbolt. I said b/c I was holding it. They were very apologetic! I would stay there again."

  • Birthday Trip

"I've stayed at Gulf Shores Surf and Racquet Club many times but this unit was the best by far!! It was very clean with up-to-date appliances and fixtures. We loved the balcony with a clear view of the ocean. It was just amazing and the deck furniture was so comfortable and the best thing was that you could actually see over the rail at the ocean!! All property owners need to take note of that;-) Whether sitting out enjoying a glass of wine or just enjoying the view, it was definitely enjoyable! The owner is very accommodating and made us feel extremely welcome! You definitely need to check this one out!!!!"
