  • The property is beautiful and right on the beach.

"The actual stay at Crystal Shores was great. The condo was beautiful, clean and a great ocean view. The only problem my party had was with the security guard. He was very rude upon arrival. He met me at my car door before I could even get out questioning everything I was doing. I could not get parking passes until I got inside the condo and that's what he continued asking for without hearing that I am just arriving. Basically anytime we left the condo he had a comment to say or a question as to what we were doing. On our last night at the condo there was a very brief cloud that came over with a small clasp of thunder. The pool and hot tub at the condo right beside us was open while our security guard locked our pool and hot tub down. He said that it was thundering and he has to close the pool. Many people got upset because within 15 minutes the cloud had passed and it never even thundered again. He made a comment that he was going home at 6 and he might call someone to open it back up. We'll the pool stayed closed all night, until people started hopping the fence to swim at a condo they are paying for. Point of the story, get a new security guard."

  • A Snowbird Stay

"We rented this condo for 11 weeks and just returned home a few days ago. It was our third winter at Tradewinds but our first in this unit. Prefer this one over the other two we have stayed in. The resorts main highlight for snowbirds is the indoor/outdoor heated pool. On sunny days with temperatures above 55 the pool was filled with people. It is centrally located to all the activities in both Orange Beach and Gulf Shores and convenient shopping. It is also only 10 miles from grocery shopping in Florida where you can save the 10% sales tax Alabama charges on groceries. When you are down for a long time this adds up. The condo itself is spacious, bright and well equipped. The decor is plain and uncluttered. The view from the balcony and from the east facing side windows in the LR and both BR's is fantastic. Being on the top floor and an end unit made it quieter than some others. The condo was very clean but a little bit worn and the paint on the trim was scuffed pretty bad in areas. It needs some TLC. Pleasure Island Properties, who manage the unit, are very good to work with. During the course of our stay there were several maintenance issues that arose and they were promptly handled. We would highly recommend this condo and in fact have already reserved for next winter."

  • Nice clean condo with easy beach access and down the road from restaurants and shopping.

"Room was great for a family with a toddler. Lots of space to move around, clean, and comfortable. Walked daily across the street to beach access. Short drive (less than 2 mins) to shops and food stores and restaurants."

  • Great beach getaway for a group!

"Our group had a total of 7 adults and we all fit comfortably during our stay at this property. The house was very convenient to the beach. We had everything we needed to cook our meals at the house. Great beds and bathrooms. Enjoyed our stay very much and would rent again if we were in the area with a large group."
