  • Take a break from reality with a great view...

"Waking up every morning to the view at Providence Point was such a relaxing and refreshing break from life. When we booked, we had planned to bring our boat. But the weather (cold, windy, and rainy) didn't cooperate so we chose to come boat-less anyway. We are so glad we did. What a relaxing trip! Even with the cold weather, you can sit in the family room and enjoy the view thanks to the fantastic windows. Driving down the gravel road, my wife began to question my choice. Once we walked onto the deck and saw the view she thanked me. It was a true break from reality. Our cell phones didn't work. the wifi storage is limited, and you are quite a drive from a town with options. And no one complained one time—not even our teens. Our group was two families consisting of four parents and eight teenagers and we had plenty of room. This is the biggest "small" house we have ever stayed in. The setup provided everyone with a bed and plenty of privacy when needed. The dock and deck provided great places to sit and watch the water pass by. Even without our boat and the ability to fish for hours like we had planned, this was one of the best trips we have ever taken. The owners were terrific at communicating. Their pre-trip packet explained everything including the need to bring in your groceries due to the secluded location. The house was very clean and well taken care of. You simply can't find a better location and view for the price. Do yourself a favor and book this property... you won't be disappointed."

  • close to 5 stars

"When the futon mattress on the couch and seat cushions (worn and stained) in the living room are replace I would have given it 5 stars for the price of the rental. The TVs in the pictures have been upgraded. The views from every room are great. The top deck has a table with 4 chairs. The middle deck also has a table with 4 chairs. They are in the shade most of the day, which is a nice break from the sun on the lake. The dock is about 3 stories from the top of the house, which isn't that bad for Smith Lake. The dock is two swim platforms put together. This is where we spent most of the day. One has a sun deck top which you can jump into the lake from. The basement closet has swim toys and chairs for the dock. A great bonus. Trident Marina is very close where you can rent a boat or Sea-Doo. We rented a Sea-Doo for the day and it was well worth it. We saw fish around dock but it was very hot and they weren't biting. Yes we would rent it again. It is a great place at the price point."

  • We had a wonderful weekend at the Pumphouse on the lake.

"My husband and I used our weekend at the Pumphouse to host our gender reveal party for friends and family. Rebecca, the owner, was very accommodating to us and made sure we had plenty of seating for everyone and she had the best yard games to play. The house is situated on a beautiful lot not far from Smith lake Park. The house is so cute with everything you would need inside. We woke up to beautiful views every morning and enjoyed watching the boaters and skiers from the swing and breezeway. The house is in immaculate condition and very clean and tidy. All the towels and bed sheets smelled so fresh and the bed was very comfortable. I highly recommend the Pumphouse on smith lake for your next get away. We'll definitely be back!"

  • Wonderful weekend

"My husband and I had never stayed at a B & B, but it was my birthday weekend so he agreed to try it for me. I found this little place and booked it right away. We like to go to different and unusual places. It was wonderful. Such a cute idea in the middle of Alabama of all places. The owners were what made this place even better. Maggie and Jon are such great people and are so inviting. I recommend this to anyone who is looking for something out of the ordinary to go see. We didn't do much at the light house because my dad lives close by, but we will have to go back and enjoy the lake and the other extras."
