  • Couldn't Have Been Happier

"When my family and I were looking for a place for our annual get together we never expected finding such a warm home environment at Cody's Cabin. The space is welcoming and comfortable that it is easy to settle down in the moment one walks through the doors. The cabin was tidy and spacious and had a very nice atmosphere. Everyone in the group agreed that we were going to try use this cabin again in the future because it met everyone of our needs."

  • Time slowed down

"We all noticed how it seemed that time slowed down while we were at Family Paradise. Isn't that what everyone wants in this hustle and bustle world we live in? We had plenty of time each day to enjoy all of the activities and each other. From the time we booked this property, Shannon was available to help with any questions we might have about our stay. We found the property easily with the directions we received and were very happy with the interior of the house. It was neat, clean, and offered everything we needed for a relaxing family weekend. We swam, kayaked, fished and ate constantly. The hit, of course, was the water slide on the swim dock. The children could never get enough of that and the parents had to give it a try too. The children also enjoyed the trampoline, but the water slide.....well, there was no comparison. The water was down some at this time of the year, but as the house is located on deep water that was not a problem for swimming, diving, and sliding from the swim dock. This is a rock shoreline so I believe that a swim from the shore when the water is up would be a step into immediate deep water. That sounds like fun to me. Shannon had explained that we could launch nearby and boat in but our crew determined to carry the kayaks and paddle board down the dock ramp. That was a bit of work for the guys but then we were able to keep the boats in the water or set them up on the dock at night. The house is on a quiet cove so we felt like we had complete privacy and safety for the swimming children. All in all, this was an enjoyable stay and I do recommend it for groups or families. One note for those with really young children (we had a 2, 3, and 6 year old with us) the stairs inside going to the lower level seemed a bit steep so we had our 2 and 3 year olds scoot down on their bottoms which is a good idea for that age group anyway."

  • Beautiful Comfortable house, with great view of the lake

"We had a wonderful time. This is our second time renting this house for our Writers Retreat. The house is more than big enough for the ten of us. There is plenty of space for writing and workshops. The kitchen is fully loaded and a joy to cook in. We would definitely do it again!"

  • Great weekend getaway!

"My family and I wanted a weekend getaway to a lake we've visited often in the past. Stripevilla did not disappoint. The property was well kept and clean. The pier was fantastic. There was a diving board for the kids and jumping from the rooftop deck. Mike lives on the premises and has boat rentals available, which was very convenient. The fishing was fun as well. We had plenty to keep us active. Mike was very accommodating. We will definitely rent again!"
