  • Don't sweat the small stuff

"Pros - Porches - there is a ton of porch area for taking it all in and having meals out there. It's a low key place on a very quiet cove. No wake, no real boat traffic but fishermen. The water is deep, so there are no worries about jumping off the double decker dock. Great fishing. You can take the canoe out to the river and explore. Plenty of beds especially for those that don't mind sharing rooms. The inside of the place is great and the interior is clean. No bugs. It's a cozy, comfortable cabin with a nice dock. Cons - Porches - as other reviewers have said the screens are shot. Open tackle boxes on the tables and random stuff strewn about on the lower level porch. Lots of cobwebs and cigarette butts here & there on both level porches. This is 50% of the place's asset, weird that it's not kept up. "If you are looking for the Marrott or Hampton Inn, go there...." that's in the description and pretty well sums it up. We enjoyed our stay. I would recommend it people that don't sweat the small stuff."

"I highly recommend staying here if its for a weekend or months on end. Dana goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable and wanted in the area. She is even a great tour guide."

  • Awesome, awesome, awesome! Our family ranges from 8 years old to 72 years old and it was perfect!!!

"Check in was very convenient. We arrived to a very clean and well kept property. House was very spacious. The pictures do not do it justice. This is definitely a home away from home. The owner has the house stocked very well with everything and anything you could possibly need. There was even 2 air mattresses provided. There was also plenty of towels, trash bags, soap, toiletries, etc. The kids loved the hot tub, pool table, air hockey table, and kayaks. The dock is very spacious and perfect for hanging out. Overall, this house is awesome. I have stayed at many Vrbo properties and I have NEVER left a review. This owner has gone above and beyond to ensure that this property is top notch. I can't say enough good things about it. My family ranges from 8 years old to 72 years old and everyone was impressed by this property. It is also conveniently located (only about 1 mile to Foodland and Dollar General and 5 miles to Wal-Mart). Also, the neighbors are very friendly. She saw our teenagers in the kayaks and offered to let them borrow her paddle board, which they loved. We will definitely stay at this property again."
