  • "A Perfect 10" (too bad there are only 5 stars on the rating scale or we'd give 10 stars!)

"My husband and I stayed Oct 7-11, 2016 and upon returning home, immediately booked this incredible condo again for next year's fall break! The view from the balcony of the white pristine sand and aqua-blue waters equals or surpasses anything we've ever experienced on any island in Caribbean, and we've visited many of the islands!. The owner, Lynn, really cares about the property and her guests and communicates quickly to any inquiries, providing excellent customer service! This top floor condo is really top shelf in every way... meticulously clean, quiet, and convenient to many restaurants and attractions. Most of the other residents and guests in the building are quite friendly. There are luggage and grocery carts in the lobby for quick and easy transport of everything you're taking to the top floor. Several of the larger condos in the building accommodate families, but the children were well behaved and a joy to encounter. I cannot truthfully think of one reason anyone would not thoroughly enjoy staying here...and my husband and I are pretty picky! We're also considering renting this one-bedroom condo for ourselves plus a few other condos in the building at the same time for a family reunion with kids and grandkids. The building and grounds have some large indoor and outdoor gathering spaces, outdoor grills, and swimming pools in addition to the easy access to the beach. This is absolutely a 10 star condo, privately owned and operated!"

  • Nice and well maintained

"Let me start off by saying we had a very nice trip and stay. Over all the condo was clean and as described in the description. I would stay her again. She even accommodated a earlier check in for us. The view did not disappoint and there was plenty of room for our family. Over all I would give a 4star. Here are a few things that we did notice but are not deal breaker or in my mind not good enough reason not to stay her. There are no beach towels but we all ways bring our own anyways so that did not really effect us. The blinds in the master bedroom are very thin and the light does shine through at night when your trying to sleep. Also there was what looked to be like chicken wings and all kinds of other stuff shoved in the garbage disposal so we did not use it and I for sure was not cleaning it out looked very gross. When we first arrived to the property was when we found out we had to buy a parking pass. Which was fine but I felt should have been mentioned. I was also unaware of the room number and were the key was left to get into the condo. This was my first HomeAway booking so those were things I did not think to ask but will be sure to ask next time. I had just thought all I needed was my reservation number and that the front desk would help with the rest. That was not the case. We were also unaware of the roof work that was being done however it ended up not effecting us. All in all besides some of the small little hiccups this was a nice place to stay and was a very nice vacation of us. I would recommend this condo to a friend."

  • A Snowbird Stay

"We rented this condo for 11 weeks and just returned home a few days ago. It was our third winter at Tradewinds but our first in this unit. Prefer this one over the other two we have stayed in. The resorts main highlight for snowbirds is the indoor/outdoor heated pool. On sunny days with temperatures above 55 the pool was filled with people. It is centrally located to all the activities in both Orange Beach and Gulf Shores and convenient shopping. It is also only 10 miles from grocery shopping in Florida where you can save the 10% sales tax Alabama charges on groceries. When you are down for a long time this adds up. The condo itself is spacious, bright and well equipped. The decor is plain and uncluttered. The view from the balcony and from the east facing side windows in the LR and both BR's is fantastic. Being on the top floor and an end unit made it quieter than some others. The condo was very clean but a little bit worn and the paint on the trim was scuffed pretty bad in areas. It needs some TLC. Pleasure Island Properties, who manage the unit, are very good to work with. During the course of our stay there were several maintenance issues that arose and they were promptly handled. We would highly recommend this condo and in fact have already reserved for next winter."

  • Great condo!

"I stayed here for a week with my husband and three boys - ages 12, 10, and 7. It was just what we needed. Romar Place was just the right size. Big enough to have both an outdoor and indoor pool with lots of friendly kids for my boys to swim with. Small enough to have easy access to the beach, stairs, and elevators. The condo was well stocked and had a homey feel. Everything was nice and clean. The beds were comfortable, and the linens were soft. We brought the XBox, and the Wifi was fast enough for the boys to play games in the evenings. We would love to come back!"
