  • Ideal home for family reunion

"We stayed in this beautiful home in July. It was ideally suited for our extended family (slept 10 comfortably) with three private bedrooms, additional sleeping areas, open kitchen, laundry--all amidst a beautiful setting. Chris went out of her way to make certain we were comfortable and had what we needed. The home is very well taken care of, and so clean. We enjoyed fires outside and looking for whales. Our only regret was that we had to go home, and didn't have an opportunity to book a fishing trip with Daniel. Highly recommended !"

  • home away from home!

"My friend and our 4 children stayed here for 8 nights recently and moved right on in. Within minutes, we had unpacked and made the place ours. Perfect location for our many activities, as well as for afternoon naps on the days we were worn out. I'm always worried about rental properties being clean enough but wow, this one sparkled! And there was enough hot water every morning for 6 showers too...a must when you're traveling with teenagers :)) I would book this again in a heartbeat! Thanks for helping make our Alaskan vacation a perfect one!!!"

  • Unbelievable!!

"We stayed here for 2 nights in June 2016. There were 5 of us (my wife and I along with 3 teenagers) and this place was FANTASTIC!! The pictures don't do it justice. First, the location is ideal for anything you are doing in Seward. They aren't kidding about the sea otters playing out in the water, either. You can see them from the deck....SO COOL! There is lots of room, everything was in perfect order, an AWESOME deck with a hot tub and grill, the list goes on and on. Lastly, Sarah was great to work with and available to help with other bookings (day cruise, kayaking, etc.). I HIGHLY recommend staying here and we will definitely be back!!"

  • Beautiful House Great Location Awesome Owners!

"Title says it all. Ruby and her hubby met us and gave us the lowdown on the town , places to eat, things to do. Their home is awesome, great views of the bay with Binoculars for whale watching from the desk in the study. Big windows facing the bay, but in town, so close enough to walk to shops, the grocery store and even head out on trails to hike. Restaurants Ruby and I recommend "The Soup Cup" in walking distance and "The Mermaid" on the "Spit" just to name two. We did not have a bad meal while here and only cooked twice. Homer is a beautiful small town and the climate is fantastic. The days are long with almost 20 hours of light, but for this stay, 24 would have been better. I didn't want to leave and WILL be going back. Needed a pot to cook crab legs, Ruby had one, complete book of things to do trails to hike in the study. We did the Halibut, Rock Fish and Salmon charters and caught lots of fish. If you fish, there are several processing places where for $2.00 per pound they will skin, vacuum pack, freeze and box for checked baggage any fish you want to bring home. we returned with 75 pounds of Halibut and salmon fillets. Having a house to come back to after all day on a boat in the bay was just great, couldn't have been better. Love the house, Homer, the people and the "Spit". My dream is to follow the whales....Alaska in the summer...... Hawaii in the winter......check it out you'll agree. PS my wife said she slept better in Rubys bed than at home in ours!"
