  • Beautiful, comfortable, private location

"Beautiful decor, large kitchen, great bedrooms with log type beds, great linen, comfortable beds. The upstairs loft was really neat. Very clean, well stocked kitchen, would suggest an additional very large 6 qt. pot for soups or pasta preparation. Linens were very nice. Very private location. Easy access - we had a wonderful stay. Would definitely stay here again. We had a adult family group of five and were very comfortable. Only stayed one night - wished we could have stayed longer. Would highly recommend this property. Was a convenient location."

  • Perfect Location, Perfect Home

"We stay at many VRBO homes. When we arrive at the home for the first time and walk in, I'm waiting for the family to provide feedback on how well I did in selecting the home. Wildwoods Cabin got rave reviews from the family and I heard several "thanks Dad" and "this is just perfect" from my wife and our adult children. Aside from the amazing build of the home and the excellent craftsmanship Bob put into the special woodwork throughout the house, the location on the Moose River is very peaceful and private. It looks deceivingly small from the outside but is quite roomy on the inside - large bedrooms, two large living areas, nice sized kitchen. You'll love staying here. We found the Sterling/Soldotna area an excellent location to stay on the Kenai Peninsula. It is about 2 hours from Homer and 2 hours from Seward. If you stay in either of those locations, you have to make a 4 hour drive around the peninsula to get to the other city. Soldotna is 15 minutes away with everything you need to stock up for your stay. Bob's email providing directions ended with this statement. "Wildwoods Cabin will not disappoint." He is exactly right. Choose this home and move on with planning your trip. Thanks Bob and Judy. Hope we make it back to Alaska from Tennessee. If so, we'll look you up."

  • A lot of fun in a little cabin

"My family and I really enjoyed our stay here with John and Nancy. The guest cabin sits back on their wonderful Kenai River frontage cabin. My teen son mastered catching the Sockeye Salmon with John's help and he taught us both the art of filleting. The cabin is in great shape and slept all four of us with ease. We loved the freezer on the deck, for all of our catches. The cabin has unlimited hot water and this is great for some real nice baths and showers. The kitchen was well appointed and the gas stove and oven worked great. The property is neat and clean, and the owners made us feel at home and had great suggestions for dinners. I think we made friends, while renting this property. I recommend this property to anyone seeking an opportunity to relax and enjoy the Kenai Peninsula."
