  • Just Perfect

"We loved our stay here so much! The cottage is adorable, clean, convenient and so well set up for travelers. I've gone to Seward a few different times and this place was by far my favorite. Walking around the quiet side of downtown is easily done from the cottage which makes all the difference and being across the street from Resurrect Art & Coffee House is a total game-changer. Quiet mornings in the coffee house, relaxing evenings at the cottage after going out an exploring... couldn't ask for a better trip!"

  • Great time

"Had a great time in Seward. House was clean & comfortable, firepit added extra since we were able,to,have a bonfire two of three nights. Would stay here again if in the area."

  • Nice artistic touches make it feel like home, and even the shower has a view.

"We really enjoyed our stay, and the artistic touches throughout the place were a pleasant surprise - the listing photos don't quite do justice to the quality of the space. Even with really rainy weather we could still enjoy the amazing views. It was actually great to have a place where you could sit inside when it was raining and still look out at the beautiful scenery, rather than feeling like you were just losing your vacation by hiding inside somewhere. Even the shower has probably the best view of any shower in Seward - Mt. Marathon! The owner quickly and pleasantly introduced himself once we pulled into the driveway. The space is great, and location is perfect - we walked downtown for coffee and bagels at the Resurrection Art coffee shop in the morning and for dinner at the Cookery in the evening. The bedrooms were comfortable, and the overall layout with the open kitchen/living space works well for a social traveling group. However, the bedrooms are immediately off the living room, so it might not work well for a group that has some people who want to go to bed early and some who don't. I'm not sure it was clear in the posting that there isn't exactly a normal dining table - dining seating is just at the kitchen bar - but this wasn't an issue for us. The kitchen was better equipped than the rental we had been in the night before in Anchorage. It took us a bit to find the laundry detergent tucked away downstairs, but we did eventually find it before we had to ask the owners. Overall we didn't have a single complaint and really enjoyed our stay. Our one request or recommendation to the owners would be to invest in heavier-duty bar stools for the dining space, as we had to keep a close eye on our 11 month old to ensure he didn't grab the leg of one and tip it over on his head."

  • Exceeded Expectations

"Lovely experience for my husband, mother, and me. Quiet location outside traffic and noise of Seward. Wish we could have stayed longer than 2 nights. Cabin was in top shape, clean, brand new coffee maker! We had everything we needed plus tips from owners. Keep up the good work! We would absolutely recommend to others."
