  • So great!

"So incredibly clean and comfortable. You will not regret staying here! The owners pay incredible attention to detail and the apartment is just amazing. Our family of four, toddler included, enjoyed a peaceful and relaxing night here."

  • Home away from home !

"This was the best lodging experience we have had because the place is a three room suite attached to the main house so we had privacy as well as comfort. One room had a very comfy king sized bed with a wall TV and an attached bathroom with a A second room had a queen size bed with an area with a couch and a TV and a half bath. The third room was a kitchen with two burner stove and full refrigerator and full set of dishes and pans, etc. The access to the kitchen is from the room with the king bed but you can also get there by going outside of the queen bedroom and coming into the kitchen through the outside door...very close by. We were just one couple but if two couples come, it works well for the later sleepers to be in the queen room since the king room has the easiest access to the kitchen. The owners are gracious and helpful and will accommodate any special food needs you have. You can read about the great food they provide for breakfast, but we chose to have instant oatmeal due to dietary needs. We tried the tourist spots in town for dinner, but were disappointed. However, then we tried two other places and were surprised at the higher quality of food. The COOKERY is fine dining at lower prices than the downtown tourist spots. The food was not your steak and potatoes kind, but the special items you would find in very fine restaurants. The other local place that was good and a few miles out of town was THE SALMON BAKE. Both places get very busy during peak times, so plan carefully. In summary, if you want a home away from home, the Camai House is it ! I wish I could take it with us every place we travel !!! Thank you to the hosts who have thought of every detail to make you comfortable.....even shaving cream which came in handy as my husband's ran out as he was shaving !!!"

  • Beautiful home, great location, and wonderful hosts!

"This log cabin home is fabulous! Beautifully decorated, great art, fabulous kitchen and bathrooms, and very inviting bedrooms / living areas. There's also a loft area upstairs which would make this a great home for families. We (three couples) spent the end of each day enjoying drinks outside by the fire pit. It was so relaxing. Bikes were available for us to take in to town. And we also took advantage of the sauna, a great amenity to ease aching muscles after long hikes, bike rides and days on our feet. The location is fabulous -- just a short walk to the Chamber of Commerce, where you can catch a circulator bus that transports you around town. We enjoyed the behind-the-scenes tour at the Alaska Sea Life Center (it felt like an episode of Wild Kingdom!), a six-hour cruise with Kenai Fjords Tours (really well done and professional), a fat bike tour of Resurrection Bay with Karl from Seward Bike Tours (awesome), and some major walks exploring the town. Lunch at Chinooks was great and we enjoyed a blast from the past at Thorn's Showcase Lounge (try the bucket of butt). We also visited the Library and watched a documentary on the Iditarod. What really made this house special is the hospitality of the hosts. They are knowledgeable about the town and went out of their way to make us feel at home and welcome in Seward. Not only do we recommend this home, but we can't wait to go back!"

  • Excellent!

"We were a big group of 14 people and we rented out suites 2,3, and 4. The owner was very helpful in telling us all the attractions and where to go. The suites were newly remodeled and extremely clean and well kept. The kitchen had everything we needed including a toaster, coffee make, water boiler microwave, oven, and washing machines. The beds and sheets were very very comfortable and we all had a great nights sleep."
