  • Exceeded Expectations

"Lovely experience for my husband, mother, and me. Quiet location outside traffic and noise of Seward. Wish we could have stayed longer than 2 nights. Cabin was in top shape, clean, brand new coffee maker! We had everything we needed plus tips from owners. Keep up the good work! We would absolutely recommend to others."

  • Clean, pleasant with nice view and convenient location

"Be prepared with cash or check. Even though you enter your credit card number to hold the place, only cash or check are accepted for payment. Awesome, friendly, cute cat next door!!"

  • Cute house Convenient location

"This house was perfect for our ladies weekend in Seward, 7 total. We really enjoyed our stay in this cozy downtown house. It is located in a convenient spot just up the street from the Sea life center. The living room was great for us to hang out and play games. The kitchen was perfect for us to be able to make all of our meals. I would definitely recommend this rental and I hope to return in the future. Thanks!"

  • Nice artistic touches make it feel like home, and even the shower has a view.

"We really enjoyed our stay, and the artistic touches throughout the place were a pleasant surprise - the listing photos don't quite do justice to the quality of the space. Even with really rainy weather we could still enjoy the amazing views. It was actually great to have a place where you could sit inside when it was raining and still look out at the beautiful scenery, rather than feeling like you were just losing your vacation by hiding inside somewhere. Even the shower has probably the best view of any shower in Seward - Mt. Marathon! The owner quickly and pleasantly introduced himself once we pulled into the driveway. The space is great, and location is perfect - we walked downtown for coffee and bagels at the Resurrection Art coffee shop in the morning and for dinner at the Cookery in the evening. The bedrooms were comfortable, and the overall layout with the open kitchen/living space works well for a social traveling group. However, the bedrooms are immediately off the living room, so it might not work well for a group that has some people who want to go to bed early and some who don't. I'm not sure it was clear in the posting that there isn't exactly a normal dining table - dining seating is just at the kitchen bar - but this wasn't an issue for us. The kitchen was better equipped than the rental we had been in the night before in Anchorage. It took us a bit to find the laundry detergent tucked away downstairs, but we did eventually find it before we had to ask the owners. Overall we didn't have a single complaint and really enjoyed our stay. Our one request or recommendation to the owners would be to invest in heavier-duty bar stools for the dining space, as we had to keep a close eye on our 11 month old to ensure he didn't grab the leg of one and tip it over on his head."
