  • Fantastic!

"This studio apartment was so clean and comfortable! Had everything we needed for a week long stay. Close to all the shopping and dining in downtown Ketchikan. :)"

  • Beautiful Property, Wonderful Hosts

"From the moment we walked in the door we felt welcome and comfortable. Amanda and Scott had set up an ocean themed decorated tree with a gift of Alaskan made jellies underneath and had peaceful music playing in the cottage for our arrival. We have stayed in many VRBO rentals, but have never felt more at home. Amanda and Scott came down to greet us and fill us in on the operation of the fireplace, TV and other devices and we ended up talking for an hour. Near the end of our stay they invited us over for coffee and pie and we talked for three hours! The next day they escorted us to the south end of town to see the bears in the bay, a beautiful waterfall and a great little homemade fudge shop. I can not say enough about our hosts, they are genuinely fine people. We came as strangers and left as friends. As for the cottage itself, it was in a word... perfect. The kitchen was as nice as we've seen in any rental and was stocked with milk, orange juice, water, bananas, seasonings and more. But most importantly, there was a bag of one of my favorite Alaskan roasted coffees. The living area is centered around the fireplace and behind that an entire wall of windows. The view from which is wide and beautiful. You can see almost the entire bay and have a great vantage point to see whales, eagles, fishing vessels and cruise ships. The built in breakfast dining area is comfortable and shares the view of the bay. The bathroom is very clean (as is the whole cabin) and the shower is beautiful and stocked with quality hair care products. I myself have very little hair to manage, but my wife loved it. The cabin is very conveniently located 10 minutes out of town. We will be back to visit Ketchikan and would not even think of staying anywhere else. We would definitely recommend this property!"

  • Beautiful spot with gorgeous view away from the hustle

"The owner is friendly & responsive. The places is well maintained and furnished. It is comfortable and has a great view. It is a bit away so more peaceful.. I would definitely recommend this to anyone not wanting to stay in a hotel. You will need a car."

  • Quiet and Spacious

"We booked the bottom unit. There are beds everywhere and a big kitchen with a giant dining table. It had all the supplies that we could possibly need and was great for a big group. Both decks got a lot of use. It was quiet and had a nice view of Knudsen Cove. The location could not have been better. It's near some great beaches, hiking trails, and lakes. Most importantly, it's away from the congestion of the cruise ship tourists but is an easy drive back into town. A rental car would be necessary to stay here, but that would be the only thing you'd need."
