  • Absolutely amazing!

"I can't say enough about how wonderful this little apartment was. The views were absolutely stunning, it was warm and cozy, and had everything we needed. Hannah and Carl were the perfect hosts. They were on vacation during our stay, and there had been a bad winter storm. The water had went out, and they immediately got someone to come out to fix the problem. They were so apologetic even though it was nature and nothing that could have been helped. We got to see amazing views of the northern lights right from their driveway two of our four nights (the first two nights were too cloudy in Fairbanks and surrounding areas). We also had no trouble getting to the house in an SUV, and I have no prior experience driving in ice/snow. Overall it was a great trip and we will definitely be staying there again when we go back!"

  • Cozy places, good for aurora viewing

"It is a very cozy and spacious place. Plus it is close to some aurora viewing area(Chena lake), and when it is strong, you can see it from the back door. We visited in Oct 6th 2016 weekend, we saw aurora in all three nights during our trip and twice at the house. (but you probably want to drive to more remote area to have a better view though). The hosts are super helpful and nice!"

  • Dont pass up the opportunity to stay here!

"Our search for the Northern lights brought us to Fairbanks, our luck brought us to Trail Breaker Cabin! There was plenty of room for me and my three adult children. The cabin has been thoughtfully planned and stocked for its visitors. My sons were able to set up their photography equipment on the deck to capture the Northern lights with plenty of room to spare. During our stay the average temp was -25 degrees outdoors but inside was nice and toasty and plenty of hot water for all of us to shower. DAVID was very accommodating and attentive making sure we were comfortable . He even allowed us to come visit with his dogs and gave us a tour of the kennels. The location is not far from the airport, but once on the property you feel like your a thousand miles away from the civilization. Definitely need to rent a car to get around and also see other points of interest."
