  • Definitely a Cozy AK Getaway

"Our family takes annual trips to Anchorage to visit family. We were so happy to stay in this rental because it felt like home! The rooms and beds were comfortable; the neighborhood was quiet. My kids were safe in the front yard because the duplex was on a cul-de-sac. We enjoyed the walking trail system - don't remember the name right now. Close to grocery stores including Costco. This rental was perfect for our 4-person family. Awesome bunkbeds too! The owner is very responsive to needs - she definitely takes care!"

  • Stunning scenery, a birders heaven

"Scott was an incredible host from the moment we arrived off the ferry to the final departure he was informative about the area, the wildlife, and every detail we needed to enjoy and be safe during our stay. The cabin is incredibly roomy and hosted the 5 of us adults and two small children very well. When we arrived on shore we could hear the pair of nesting eagles just a few trees away from the sitting area at the front of the cabin. The best part was seeing the last eagle fledge! There was also a small flock of stellers jays that would perch on the balcony while I had my morning coffee! When the tide was low we enjoyed beach walks, and during the day we used the pair of kayaks that were on the property.....the water was so blue, we enjoyed seeing the sea otters, the jelly fish and all of the gulls and eagles that flew by or were on the shore. The night time brought beautiful views of the moon over the water and even a bonfire on the beach! We had everything we needed in the cottage, beds, linens, kitchen supplies for cooking etc. I would like to say how incredibly safe we felt while we were there considering how remote these locations are....Scott is an incredible craftsman and outdoors-men prepared for many things if they were to arise. I would beware of places that just drop you off in areas that are so desolate and dont check in to see if your ok!"

  • A one of a kind experience!

"My wife and I spent fair bit of time in the Barn, and we absolutely fell in love with it! The space Located in a friendly and peaceful neighborhood. Pristine hiking and biking trails are within walking distance (just keep an eye out for moose and bear as they do frequent the area). It's a great spot to setup base camp to further explore Alaska. If you come here in winter, the northern lights can be seen from lawn. Access to the main hub of Anchorage is just a short drive away. The space is well maintained, and has a fun and relaxing vibe to it. The owners are super friendly and helpful. We highly recommend a stay in the barn! It truly is a one of a kind experience!"
