  • Spacious downtown apartment

"My friend and I stayed for 3 nights in Apt. #3 in late August 2016. We had a car. You can't beat the location if you like to be in the center of town. It is in a historic building on the second floor so you have to walk up a flight of stairs. There is a chair lift but I have no idea if it works. Parking is on the street and we never had trouble finding parking on the few times we actually chose to drive in Seward. When you enter the building it is immediately apparent that this is a really old, musty and creaky building. The hallways are small and narrow. Our unit was very large and very vintage. Aside from the musty smell and the very poor WiFi connection, it was really nice. The manager was kind enough to bring a hairdryer at my request before we arrived. I noticed there already was a hairdryer in the bathroom drawer so we had two. The living room is large. The couch is not so comfortable but not terrible. There is a lot of closet and cabinet space in the apartment and it is well appointed with the basic necessities like a wine opener and wine glasses. ;) The bed had a foam top that was like sleeping on a cloud! The quilt and pillow covers were gorgeous and the closets were huge. The only thing is that there was hardly any shampoo or conditioner in the full size bottles in the shower and only one tiny travel size bottle of shampoo on the counter. However, the bathroom had a cute decorative boat with little soaps and toiletries to make your stay nicer and we had the perfect amount of towels (4 full size bath towels for two women plus smaller towels). If you can get past the almost haunted vibe of this building and poor WiFi connection, this place is spacious, clean and comfortable. You can walk all over Seward from this location. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again."

  • Beautiful house, great location

"We enjoyed Namastay for 2 nights in early Sept 2016. The house was lovely and comfortable, very clean and well-supplied, with fantastic views from the deck. The location was great with easy access to Homer, the Spit and Kachemak Bay. The owner Jaime was very responsive and helpful for questions and suggestions. We were able to enjoy kayaking and hiking in the Bay, some great shopping and outstanding seafood in the short time we spent there. Our only regret was not having more time in this special place. We would be very happy to stay here again."

  • Awesome

"We stayed here for 3 nights. It was clean, well maintained and easy to find. Loved the quiet location. It was totally worth the nightly price for 2 couples. If you fill all the beds, it's worth its weight in gold! Enjoyed the fire pit. Purchase wood at Miners Market (less than 5 minutes drive from the house). Appreciated the full kitchen for breakfast and dinner. Full size washer and dryer was a definite bonus as this allowed us to prepare for the next part of our adventure. Beds comfortable. Wifi worked well. Matt and Vicky's advise for touring the area was spot on although I'd say our travel time to Denali park entrance was 20 minutes in addition to waiting for construction delays (and I'm a speed violator!). Appreciated staying in local neighborhood vs. Glitter Gulch. Why would you stay with the crowds while visiting this remote paradise when you can experience how a local would."

  • Carefree vacation in Haines

"Stunningly beautiful view from the deck, clean and well laid-out. Plenty of hot water and water pressure. Definitely the best supplied vacation rental that we've ever stayed in- there was nothing lacking!"
