  • We loved our stay!!

"My sister and I rented Lou & Jerry's house as part of a milestone birthday trip to Alaska. We stayed 9 nights. The house felt quite spacious. The view is beautiful. The location is great. The home was clean and nicely furnished and really felt like home to us. We appreciated having wi-fi and all the books and games ... and wild raspberries and Lou's raspberry jam (thanks, Lou!). We would have spent lots of time on the deck had the weather permitted. If we get back to Homer, our first rental choice would again be this house! Favorite restaurant: The Little Mermaid Favorite carry out: Two Sisters Bakery Awesome activities: Bear watching in Lake Clark National Park (travel to/from by helicopter), guided kayaking in Peterson Bay with St. Augustine's, and, for free, watching huge numbers of sea otters near the Spit on the incoming tide. Favorite shopping: Fireweed Gallery Be sure to visit Halibut Cove during your stay! It is worth it!"

  • Verena's home was absolutely lovely, spacious, well appointed, lovely clean bathroom & spacious bed

"Verena greeted us with smiles and conversation, her house presented as a very attractive destination. We had a lovely suite that was spacious with a large bedroom, spacious kitchenette and a very clean bathroom. Laundry facilities were available that helped catch up on soiled clothes after a 10 day coach tour. We certainly recommend Verena's accommodation for those wanting a quiet, clean place to stay in Anchorage and she's close to the airport. 10 out of 10 for us."

  • Comfortable and clean ...

"We had a wonderful retreat at the Asian Motif Lodge. Before we booked it, we met with the owner, Shoman, and checked it out. We were impressed at how nice it was. Shoman answered all of our questions without any hesitation. Even when we called her back later to book the reservation, she called back immediately after we left a VM. The house was very clean and decorated nicely. It met our needs with four king size beds, one queen and two twin beds. Four full bathrooms and one half bath was more than enough. As for location, it's in close proximity to Alyeska Hotel, ski slopes and all the Girdwood restaurants. Our group was impressed with the accommodations and would highly recommend it for a retreat, party, etc. We will definitely be back for our next retreat! Thanks for sharing your beautiful home Shoman!"

  • A lot of fun in a little cabin

"My family and I really enjoyed our stay here with John and Nancy. The guest cabin sits back on their wonderful Kenai River frontage cabin. My teen son mastered catching the Sockeye Salmon with John's help and he taught us both the art of filleting. The cabin is in great shape and slept all four of us with ease. We loved the freezer on the deck, for all of our catches. The cabin has unlimited hot water and this is great for some real nice baths and showers. The kitchen was well appointed and the gas stove and oven worked great. The property is neat and clean, and the owners made us feel at home and had great suggestions for dinners. I think we made friends, while renting this property. I recommend this property to anyone seeking an opportunity to relax and enjoy the Kenai Peninsula."
