  • Great location for the Grand Canyon and surrounding areas!

"My family of 5 traveled with another family of 5 to visit the Grand Canyon and surrounding areas. The location was perfect for what we wanted, about an hour drive to the Grand Canyon, less than an hour from the very scenic highway 89A drive to Sedona and the Slide Rock State Park, and about 20 minutes to Williams, AZ, a nice Route 66 town we walked around one afternoon. The house comfortably slept our 10 people (2 couples and kids ranging from 5 years old to adult age), and had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. The kitchen was stocked well with dishes and cookware we needed. The property was in a quiet, secluded neighborhood, with enough room for the kids to run around and play outside, and we regularly saw elk as well. The owner was very responsive when we had a few questions during our stay, and we received our deposit back in a very short amount of time."

  • Wonderful ranch house and view. The house was comfortable, clean and inviting.

"I rarely take the time to write reviews but will not pass up the opportunity when it comes to Tumbling Rock Ranch. We had a family vacation consisting of parents, siblings and spouses. Directions to the house were easy to follow and we met there. The owners were accommodating, friendly and respectful of our stay. They ensured we had everything we needed. We opted to take the tour Don offers. Each of us agreed it was one of the highlights of our trip. We did numerous things off the ranch but that tour ranks in the top 3 things we did. We would strongly encourage other guest who are interested in hiking, climbing and learning the history to do like wise. For many of us, this was our first trip to this part of the country. We did not think that we might need jackets for the cooler nights so you might consider adding one as you pack. However, the outdoor fireplace was wonderful to relax around at the end of our adventurous days. Overall, our stay here created life long memories for everyone and the ranch and the owners were a big part of that. Our hope is to return at some point in the future. It was a fantastic destination."

  • Wonderful Rainstorms!

"This cabin is neat as a pin, and has everything you need for cooking, cleaning, bathing and relaxing (including wi-fi for the data addicted). Be sure to set up the hammock -- I dare you to stay awake. The beds are comfortable, and there is plenty of extra bedding and pillows so you can situate yourself as you like. Lots of family friendly DVDs for the TVs upstairs and down. We stopped at the Williams Von's on the way in and stocked up on food for the stay; the cabin kitchen is well equipped, and we enjoyed cooking together. Several dramatic thunderstorms came through, which was a gift for desert dwellers. The area is set up to handle a lot of water, so even after a hard rain you can get outdoors and do what you like. The property is on the Flagstaff side of Williams, so Flag is a short trip if you need anything, or want to try the Beaver Street district for a meal and micro-brew. If you're willing to drive a bit further the Meteor Crater is in range. Closer is Sunset Crater (volcanic, not meteoric) and the native American sites just beyond. Sycamore Canyon is very close (about 30 minutes via fire roads), and well worth the trouble. Several elk ran across the road right in front of us, and we also saw a coyote. Don't try it in a passenger car, though. Of course, there is golf at the delightful Elephant Rocks. The green fairways are backed by dramatic mountains and clouds. It's a fun course, and beautiful. Amy and Steve are terrific, and easy to reach. I would recommend Moose Manor (and any of the other properties of Amy and Steve) -- you'll have a great time."
