  • Spectacular Desert Compound

"We were a group of nine men on a hiking, trail running and mountain biking trip, with a requirement for luxury accommodation in a unique setting. We weren't disappointed. If you like a big open plan house, with great desert/mountain views, and miles from anywhere, this house is exactly what you want and is as advertised. Big plusses: 10 beds in five bedrooms and a TV room; 3 full and two 1/2 baths; large quality kitchen with marble counters, commercial fridge, wet bar, two dishwashers, large grill, large island, and big sliding doors that retract for a a full open walkout onto the patio; two dining tables that seat up to 16; new large washer/dryer laundry room; east facing pool/hot tub patio with gas firepit; outdoor bocce/shuffleboard/horseshoe area; indoor pool table/ping pong table/basketball hoop; high quality TV/sound systems in living room and TV room. The only detraction that prevents this house from being a 5-star with the group is it needs a few minor items updated or replaced: the house Wifi was intermittent; a few burnt out light bulbs; a couple of wall patches hadn't been finished and painted; the hot tub cover and some patio seat pads were worn and frayed; the two outdoor gas heater propane tanks were empty; only one of the pool table cues was usable. These are minor items that were noticed because they contrasted with the the rest of the property's quality. Overall it's a tremendous property. Guests should understand the property is 20-30 minutes up a dirt/gravel fire road from the main highway - which is great if you're looking for isolation and enjoy cruising in an SUV every day to get to the main highways - but you are looking at at least 30-40 minutes to either of the edges of Sedona or Cottonwood and you'll want at least a light SUV/truck for the roads. We really enjoyed the out of the way location and were looking for lots of outdoor activity, so it was right up our alley, but you do need to plan for groceries and trips to town. Overall, this a wonderful place and all of us were sad to leave after a great trip. Clean up a couple of the cosmetic items and this is a world class location and property. Our group's standards are high and we would return without question."

  • Great cabin in the woods!

"We had a great time visiting Flagstaff and this rental home is wonderful! We were greeted the first evening by 3 deer in the backyard and the next morning an entire heard of elk were visiting a nearby farm. My kids loved the beautiful deck (and of course the hammock); what a beautiful view and quiet place to enjoy a good read. The kids also loved the loft; they thought the view was amazing and loved having a TV in their room. The house if fully equipped with everything from pots and pans to a blow dryer and lots of throw blankets for the cold mornings. It's a great location; far enough from the hustle and bustle of downtown but not too far to enjoy the restaurants. This cabin is the perfect place a ski vacation as it's just across the road from the Snowbowl entrance. We hope to visit again!"

  • Perfect Getaway for our familly

"The house was perfectly located for what we wanted, centered for just about every activity we had planned. Loved that the groceries were so close, too, as we ate quite a few meals at home. Dining room was (as Trump would say) Huge! Loved it and have already recommended to friends. Thanks for sharing your home with us Joan."

  • Second Visit Was as Nice as the First

"We decided to stay at the casita again since we had such a nice stay in 2014. We weren't disappointed. We love being a bit off the beaten path since it's so quiet and peaceful. The room is spacious and comfortable, the views are wonderful and it's just a few minutes drive to get anywhere. When we're in Sedona we like to be away from it all and the casita is a great way to do it."
