  • Great large family friendly cabin

"This cabin was great! My entire family had a blast. The cabin was perfect. It was clean, spacious, and had several modern amenities. Marty was a fantastic host, I messaged him with a question our first night and within minutes he messaged me back. I highly recommend this cabin, and we will be staying there again."

  • Lovely Cabin in the Woods

"We spent the holiday's with the extended family at the cabin, and even with the multitude of grandparents, aunts, uncles, brothers, and sisters running around we never felt cramped. The outdoor patio was fabulous (though the fireplace didn't stand up to the snowstorm that rolled through and dropped 8" on us) - but even when we were huddled in side we had more than enough room for all of us. The cabin was beyond stocked with pantry items, games, etc. John was a fabulous host, communicated promptly, and thankfully warned us to bring a 4x4 as those of us who didn't listen got stuck in the driveway mid-snowstorm for awhile. We had a great time and if we ever convince ourselves all this family should get together in one place at one time again, John's cabin will be high on our list."

  • 50s Charm!

"I rented this sweet little place for a too-brief stay and was overwhelmed with its' old-school charm. I have always loved being up "on the Rim" at Tonto Creek -- since I was a kid. This place brought me back to my childhood as I marveled at the period touches, and this cabin was very comfy too! It has a beautiful wood-burning fireplace, a great little kitchen-living area with comfy chairs and sofas, and the bed I chose to sleep in upstairs (it was just me this trip) was very comfortable. I loved the covered flagstone deck/bar-b-que area where I could sit and watch the beautiful creek below. Listening to that creek night and day was so relaxing. I was impressed at how clean and ready-to-use the cabin was when I arrived. Don't be discouraged by the green shag carpet -- it has been very well maintained and is very clean and soft. It also adds to the vibe of the place, which has been kept neat-as-a-pin! This cabin sits on a really good-size lot ON the creek, and because of that it was very peaceful. Because I had Verizon for my cell service I was able to get email and phone calls and to make outgoing calls, and there is also a landline in the cabin. I had everything I needed to cook, and the stove and oven worked great. In addition to the two fridges, there was also a toaster, toaster oven, real drip coffee maker, and microwave. Lots of great movies were available to watch on the flatscreen tv, and there were some good cds to play as well on the cd player. I really really enjoyed staying here -- I relaxed, I felt safe (alarm system!), and I was so comfy. The owner, Mr. Durham, was so helpful and responsive. I can't wait to come up again soon."
