"We have enjoyed the hospitality of all four of Jay Sargent’s Cabins in Greer, Arizona for the past 15 years. We have just returned from a wonderful family week in Sergeant’s Lodge, the 3 BR 2 Bath fully appointed cabin. It is so comfortable and relaxing to come home to after a day of fishing, hiking, and antiquing. The Museum is a regular visit every year; always learn something new & find new books to read or a gift or two for family or friends. Of course, JJ, our daughter, & grandson always provide at least one big dinner of grilled trout, fresh out of the stream (and some to bring home)! Have to mention JJ's 2015 biggest trout catch (8lb 4 oz, 26 inch) – what a beauty!
Early mornings we enjoy having coffee on the deck, watching the deer & elk come in to browse in the meadow. Late afternoon & evenings we often enjoy the "light show" of lightning, thunder, rain, very cool temps, misty mountains & forest. Playing horseshoes, cheering from the swing bench are also favorites in the large, grassy yard. The fireplace is a lovely, though rare treat as we prefer cooler temps..
Jay Sargent’s’ other cabins are equally fantastic, each accommodating various group sizes. Jay is meticulous in providing the best, most comfortable vacation experience possible in his lodgings. We greatly appreciate his efforts to make our summer getaway a most pleasurable experience. We have even enjoyed having a family Thanksgiving week in one of Sargent’s cabins, roast turkey & all! Thanks, Jay! We always look forward to our annual Greer getaway! And can’t forget to express appreciation for all the wonderful people of the Greer community who are always so friendly & welcoming!"
