  • Great place again!! stayed twice here

"We came back for a my nieces wedding and this property was so close to my sister. It was great, it actually was a $5 uber ride to her house. I recommend this property and using Uber, it was fantastic. We where there when it was 115 and the pool was so nice to relax in later in the evening. Safeway is right around the corner too. We could grab some food and go back to the house or head to my sisters. It was all so close. I highly recommend John, he was easy to work with and responsive. I will be back and rent this home again! Thanks!!"

  • Great week in Scottsdale

"The property, amenities and location were great for wonderful week in the Scottsdale sun. Our group enjoyed the heated pool and ate nearly all our meals at the outside. Inside, the home's appliances, beds, electronics, and dining/cooking supplies were top notch. The home is conveniently located within a couples blocks walk to Kierland Commons and grocery stores a 5 minute drive away. We highly recommend!"

  • Perfect Place to Stay

"We have stayed in this property for the past two years and have rebooked again for this year. We would agree that Christine is a wonderful hostess! And frankly, the other reviews are very accurate. This is a perfect location for us halfway between our extended family and town (15-20 minute walk). Neat and clean with all the amenities. Comfortable bedding, and living space. Nice views from kitchen and pool area. Private fenced in yard. I would add that the Cave Creek/Carefree area is not anything like the Scottsdale/Phoenix valley. It is a very eclectic blend of cowboy, artsy and affluent pockets too. From watching bull riding, art and craft galleries, great bars, many dining options and a michelin rated restaurant, horseback riding, aggressive hiking, shooting range, and golfing, there is always something to do. We've been vacationing here for about 10 years. It also saves about an hour of driving from the valley if you want to go to Sedona or Flagstaff or Grand Canyon."

  • Relaxing Desert Getaway

"We have stayed at Barbara's casita a few times before, so knew we'd love our visit again. The casita is the right size for a couple, and away from the bustle of a big city. We enjoyed bird watching every morning from the kitchen window (lots of Gambel's Quail strutting around on the ground, and a variety of other birds at the feeders.) We drove the scenic Castle Mt. Hot Springs Drive, saw lots of animals and beautiful mountain vistas. The nearby town of Wickenburg boasts a top-notch art museum and many shops and restaurants. We re-visited the Hassayampa River Preserve with its beautiful shaded trails, once with a knowledgable guide. It's only a short walk to the desert from the casita and neighborhood, and every evening we had a "happy hour", sitting on our private patio watching the glorious colors of the sunset. At night, if there's no full moon, you can see stars you never see in a big city. We enjoyed our stay very much, and always look forward to Barbara's hospitality."
