  • This lovely casita exceeded our expectations.

"We used the casita for two nights while attending a wedding in the area. It was exactly what we needed with the inclusion of the kitchenette. And for the price, it can't be beat! The house it is attached to is lovely as well. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it and our lovely hosts."

  • Living in a Wonderland

"The most fascinating place we've ever stayed. Never a dull moment, the multitude of birds and wildlife kept us entertained daily. I added over 30 new species to my life list, and they were up close and personal. No scanning the treetops with binoculars. They came right to the feeders within feet of the windows and screened porches. The acorn woodpeckers are like cartoon birds, and the hummingbirds were so numerous, we often had 8 or 9 at one feeder. We saw kit foxes and had visits from a coati and collared peccaries. Too many new critters to enumerate here. The house suited us admirably. Bright, clean and simple. Easy to care for and very comfortable. We loved the screened porches, with the 270 degree vistas and wildlife. Flux Canyon is a great place to walk and hike, and only a couple miles to Patagonia for groceries, library, galleries, etc. 18 miles from the border, and Nogales, it's easy to visit Mexico. And of course, it is in the heart of the sky islands, surrounded by other mountain ranges, all fascinating. I guess I can't say enough about what a find this place was and how lucky for us that we were able to rent it for the month of February. I tell folks it was like living in the middle of an aviary."

  • The Perfect Townhome

"We rented the Tubac Townhome to be near a family reunion. It was perfect for our needs, and more! Charmingly decorated and appropriately stocked with every need-- ahem, WIFI! - we were able to come "home" with the kids to rest, recharge and spread out in a spacious home to relax. Right across from the pool and near all the Tubac restaurants and shops, this townhome makes for a get-away with all the necessities right near by. The owner was gracious and searched high and low when my son lost a book that he received as a gift when we stayed in Tubac. Although it wasn't found and likely lost elsewhere, I am extremely grateful for the correspondence and attention to such a minor detail for our little guy. This was above and beyond service and truly indicative of all the great care the owners put into making their guests comfortable!"

  • Extraordinary views; beautiful home

"The rental house is beautiful, and perfect for up to two couples, as the two bedrooms, each with a bathroom, are on opposite sides of the house. The fireplace is perfect for cool evenings and draws perfectly; there was no hint of smoke in the house. The owner, Brian, was very easy to contact and made sure we had everything we needed. The best thing about the house, though, is the location. About a 10-minute easy drive north of Patagonia, the main porch of the house faces south, and the views are incredible. The house is perched on a hill and you can see for many miles east, south, and west. The sunrises, sunsets, stargazing, and birdwatching are all terrific right at the house. In addition to the resident Say's Phoebe and house finches, we had broad-billed hummingbirds, black-chinned hummingbirds, grey hawks, and vermillion flycatchers right at the house. Views from the bedrooms are great, too. There are no near neighbors. You can hike right from the house, for birdwatching purposes, and it's less than a half-hour drive to sites for more serious birding and hiking. Madera Canyon is only about an hour away. I cannot imagine any better place to stay in this part of Arizona. I feel very lucky that we found it, and I hope to return again someday."
