  • Very nice and reasonable property

"The property is very clean and up dated. All necessities (other than food) are included. We packed for what we expected from other properties we've rented and could have left a lot at home. The location is excellent, shopping, groceries, Hiking, etc. are all nearby. You can walk to the Basha's market, Sabino Canyon is 5 min., Saguaro Park West is 20 min. The pool and spa are excellent."

  • BISBEE, REFINED

"We’ve stayed at many vacation rentals in Bisbee. This is our favorite. It hasn’t been reviewed much, because it hasn’t been rented much. Unbeknownst to the owner, the previous property manager wasn’t replying to rental inquiries for several days, if ever. The owner now has a new manager, and I think this is going to become one of the most in-demand rentals in Bisbee. The property is a real gem. High Rd. has the highest elevation of any street overlooking town. Out of the three vacation rentals on High Rd., this is the nicest, with the shortest walk to town. With spectacular views, it looks down on Castle Rock, Warren Vista to the southeast, and the Divide Rd. to the west. It has a 32”-wide concrete handicap ramp from the parking area to four steps to the front porch. Because the owner occupies the house a couple months a year, it’s kept up and furnished beautifully. With wall-to-wall carpeting in the LR, DR, and bedrooms, it’s much more luxurious than “typical Bisbee”. Originally a miner’s cabin, as are 90% of the rentals in Old Bisbee, it was expanded to over 1,200 sq. ft., completely gutted, rewired, replumbed with new fixtures and framed out for huge picture windows exposing the awesome views. A small third BR with a twin bed, not in the description, accommodates a fifth person. A 32” smart TV with a prepaid Amazon subscription allows watching Amazon Prime movies for free. We’ve already reserved our dates for next year."

  • Delightful Diversion in the Desert

"Mr. McElwaine's deluxe casita at Starr Pass Resort was a wonderful vacation for us for the entire month of June 2016. Everything we needed for a relaxing getaway was provided, included a fully furnished kitchen, comfortable living room, tv's in each of the three rooms, and patio with outstanding view of the mountains. The location on the west side of Tucson is very convenient to most of the city and suburbs, and we were downtown or on the interstate in minutes - something you can't say about the other resorts we visited located on the north or east side of town. While wifi is not provided, we took the free Marriott shuttle several times up to the main resort and used the internet in the lobby or Starbucks. We also took advantage daily of the wonderful, large pool and exercise room mere steps from our door. A nice surprise was the appearance of a number of desert animals visible from our patio: javelinas, deer, coyotes, road runners and many types of birds. I appeciate the fact that the designers of the complex tried to leave the desert untouched which allowed the wildlife to exist as always in spite of the development. Dave, the owner, stopped in to check on us during our stay, giving us ideas on where to eat and what to see. His son, who lives in the vicinity, was helpful when there was a problem with the cable tv reception, and the problem was resolved quickly. The monthly charge for this 2 br, 3 ba condo was very competitive for the area and allowed us to enjoy a month here, rather than a week or two which had been our original plan. I would recommend this casita to any one of my friends looking for a long or a short stay in Tucson."

  • Wonderful stay at the casita! From Kansas.

"We have rented the Sombrero Peak Casita for 3 years in a row and look forward to future visits! We always feel "at home" due to the wonderful amenities, the cleanliness, and the beautiful neighborhood. It is nicely decorated and very comfortable, with all the comforts of home. The large patios and the mountain views make for a quiet, relaxing area to enjoy the morning sunrise and view the many hot air balloons that float above this area. The back yard gives you access to a large variety of desert cactus and plants. Hiking in the national park is just a short 15 minute walk from the casita. We highly recommend your stay at the casita! The owners are wonderful people and very attentive to any needs or concerns!"
