  • Charming vintage house, walking distance from downtown

"I really enjoyed my stay at La Casa Verde. It is a small house, but I liked the vintage/authentic Tucson feel with modern functionality, especially the redone kitchen and bath, and handy washer/dryer. Downtown and 4th street are about a mile walk away, and there's a nice walk around Arroyo Chico just a half block away. You will hear trains, and to a lesser extent the jets from the military base; some sort of white noise helps for sleeping. The pictures above don't show the fenced backyard (which was nice when travelling with a dog); also the cafe pictured above has closed, but the Welcome Diner has opened just around the corner. Oh, and skip nearby Del Taco for the Taco Shop just down Broadway."

  • Great Respite

"If you are looking to get away and relax this is the place. The tranquil setting with periodic wildlife visits, it fit the bill. We enjoyed walking the neighborhood and the great swimming pool as well. Even when we had a small AC problem, the owner Dennis got it repaired in short order. Dennis was easy to work with along our time. I would recommend this place to anyone! Ken"

"Clean, open space, with everything we needed. location was perfect for us and the views were wonderful. We are not big TV watchers on vacation and although there were not a lot of available TV channels, there were enough for the kids when we wanted them. Given the beautiful weather we wanted and needed the freedom from the television anyway. We have four kids and this house was friendly for them (there are cacti - this is Arizona) but the ones in the back are outside the fenced area and provide a lot of natural beauty that really help you feel like you are out in a more secluded area. Layout of the house gave us plenty of room. Mountain views made strolling through the neighborhood a treat for the kids and us alike. Would definitely come back. The hosts are great."
