  • Perfect for a five-day stay in Tucson foothills

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: For our family of five, including two married couples, this place was perfect. Plus, we were just over a mile to our parents' house, easy driving to hiking in Ventana and Sabino, and not far from grocery shopping, and the excellent El Charro restaurant. The kitchen is not set up for real cooking, but had just what we needed for breakfasts. We also enjoyed the pool (steps away) and fitness center (across the street--limited, but sufficient)."

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This condo and our vacation were the best..... We were here to enjoy Tucson and the condo which offered a great taste of Tucson. • Visiting Tucson for Thanksgiving

"My husband and I stayed at the casita while spending Thanksgiving with family. The casita is decorated so nicely and is spotlessly clean. Joan and Michael were great hosts and, the margaritas were awesome! The neighborhood was nice and quiet and we were able to walk to the back side of Sabino Canyon. As an animal lover, I enjoyed having the dogs around and actually wished they were in the yard more! This is a great place and we look forward to returning in April for a family wedding."

  • Best Casita Ever!

"When my wife and I were looking for a place to rent for a couple of weeks in Tucson, we came across this casita. We immediately noticed that every single review was a 5 star review. I don't think we had seen that before and wondered if it was possible. The answer quite simply is YES!!! We have traveled extensively and have stayed in many casitas over the years and I can say quite convincingly that this is the best casita we have ever stayed in! Where to begin...First of all, Dave and Ro were great hosts. Very friendly, always helpful but we always had plenty of privacy. The pride of ownership is evident everywhere. Even the pictures don't do this casita justice. Very well designed architecturally, great artwork throughout the house and a real Southwestern feel. Very clean and very comfortable. Additionally, there is a big backyard, well landscaped, with a private sitting area right outside the casita door that has a grill, a nice table to eat at and two comfortable chairs for reading. We spent many hours outside reading in this serene environment. As an extra bonus, the location of the casita is great. We have stayed and vacationed in Tucson several times before but never in this NE part of town. We really, really liked this part of town. Removed from the hustle and bustle of central Tucson, the area has a nice rural feel to it yet we were just minutes away from major shopping centers. The views of the Santa Catalina mountains from this casita are stunning! Sabino Canyon Recreation Area is just minutes away as is Bear Creek Canyon. So the hiking was great. Also, there is a nice 2 mile hiking loop you can take right from the house that skirts the boundaries of a nearby destination spa. We ended up doing this 2 mile loop almost everyday we were here! Excellent hosts, a beautiful casita and a superb location...we'll definitely be back. This truly is a very, very fine house!"
