  • Perfect fit for family of six

"I chose this rental because of its perfect design for an extended family of 6; our son, wife and two grand daughters (3 & 7). It has a large center living room and spacious remodeled kitchen, both bedrooms & baths are located on either side of the living room and that provides for a very nice and private layout. My son and wife wanted this Casita because their bedroom had two beds in it, much better when traveling with small children than trying to get them to stay in their own room in a new place. We came in Mid-June for a 3 day event at the JW Marriott, a short 2 min. drive away. The kids played daily in the olympic size pool and made lots of new friends. Being from Hawaii the children and my daughter in law have never seen many animals like squirrels, coyotes, Calif. Quail although we do have pigs in Hawaii that are similar to their cousins the Arizona Javelina's. We got to see all of these beautiful animals right outside the back sliding glass door, it was a wonderful experience for the girls. The kitchen in this rental is better stocked than ours at home, complete with bakeware, tupperware, lots of dishes and lovely glasses. We ate all meals in for the week that we were there and even had two friends that live in Tucson over for a bar-b-que on the last night. The floors throughout the units and patio have all been recently remodeled with lovely new terra-cotta tile and Arizona flagstone, yet again another reason for choosing this one over some of the others with white carpet... The bathroom was large enough to have a party in and the A/C keep us comfortable day and night. Debbie the owner was very easy to deal with and made our stay seamless. Here's to hopping that they have the event at Starr Pass JW Marriott again next year because we would love to come back and stay again. Thanks Debbie for allowing us to stay in your "Starr Pass Casita" it is a little slice of heaven in the middle of the desert."

  • Comfortable, private and great central location.

"So many times when you travel it's hard to find a place where you can relax and kick up your feet. This property lets you do that. It has all the convenience of home, comfy bed, furniture you can nap in and rest your body after a day of hiking at Mt. Lemmon. Great central location to all of Tucson. Kitchen is well stocked so you can make most anything and a very nice patio to have your morning coffee and watch the morning doves make a nest. The flowers are great too! We will most definitely be using this rental again."

  • If ever there was an "Almost Heaven"

"Just looking at the pictures listed with this page makes me really want to go back NOW! I guess it is the taste of heaven that I have to allow to keep me until next year, since all the dates this winter seem to be already reserved. The hostess for this condo is absolutely one a person would desire to have. She is delightful and careful of the needs of the traveler. I just glanced over at the review by Lawrence S and see that the title to that review is Sabino Canyon Jewel. This says it all, this condo is the diamond of the desert, with all the characteristics that Lawrence describes in that review. Our visit with our grandchildren was made so very special with this condo as our homebase. Thanks so much for the personal touch of flowers and chocolates to greet our arrival. Karine is an angel who responds promptly with efficiency. and helps make this is near as possible to heaven on earth."

  • Wonderful Property and Owner, Better Than Pics!

"Don't hesitate to book this property!!! It is very conveniently located in the safe and well-maintained Starr Pass area. The home is clean and very well equipped with lots of room for sleeping and lounging. Bigger than it looks from the outside. The view and privacy from the back patio is also even better than the pictures. Wildlife abounds! We saw a group of 8 javelina on our first night there. I loved lazing in the swing and watching the geckos play around on the property. As I was nursing a back injury I relaxed in the master soaking tub every night. Lovely! Debby was very accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great vacation. We couldn't have asked for more! Only two small things to note, 1) For some reason the garage seemed short. We were not able to pull our rental Durango in - not a big deal in March weather and we were able to lock it in on the parking pad (very convenient), 2) if you haven't stayed in Starr Pass before the only down side is that it is a bit of a drive to shopping but TOTALLY worth it for the safety and natural beauty. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!"
