  • Beautiful house!

"We really loved this house! The view is breathtaking and the pools and flowers are lovely. This is a wonderful house for a family or group of friends. The bedrooms are spaced at opposite sides of the house and downstairs so you can move about without worrying about waking the rest of the group. Furnishings are very upscale and the kitchen is well stocked. We used the hot tub a few times and it was great, but you need some lead time to get it warmed up, as it expensive to run it all the time. The owner, Strom, was wonderfully attentive and very helpful. He has household items and sundries already in the house which was very nice as well. I would note that there is house next door whose outside patio is continuous with this house's patio. That house is not occupied and the owner keeps it up well, but if there was someone staying there it would be awkward."

  • Our own private resort!

"Our family of seven spent a week here for a family reunion and to celebrate our mother's 90th birthday. It was the perfect choice! The neighborhood is quiet and safe. Every morning my sister and I walked through the area and enjoyed the abundant wildlife and gorgeous homes. The road is for residential access so there was very little traffic or noise. Each morning we had breakfast on the patio area next to the pool. It was like being at our own resort! The home is made from gorgeous adobe blocks and has such character. The decor and original artwork made it fell exotic and homey at the same time. We used the pool every day - even my mother lounged on a pool float and soaked in the sun! Although the home is on a secluded road it is convenient to drive to grocery stores, restaurants, and malls within minutes. My husband and I lived in Tucson for almost 20 years and know how rare it is to find a home on a large piece of property that offers privacy but also convenience. The three bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The weather reached nearly 100 degrees that week but the home stayed cool most of the day with only a few hours of cooler use. We opened the windows at night and it smelled glorious! Bonnie was a gracious and communicative hostess. I typically am wary of any type of internet bookings but she provided all the information I needed to contact her and called both before and after our trip to ensure we were happy. Future trips to Tucson will definitely be planned around Hacienda Vista Lejos' avaialblity."

  • Remarkable accommodations. Owner has thought of everything! Beautiful location.

"This house is located in a quiet neighborhood very close to the Sabino Canyon Recreation area in a beautiful part of Tucson. There is absolutely nothing missing in this home, from beautiful views, to large, open living areas, to a completely outfitted kitchen, to a huge wardrobe room, to spacious and bright bathrooms, to a collection of DVDs, musical CDs, games, comfortable furniture, a thoughtful and interesting collection of books and magazines, a lovely rose covered private patio that runs the length of the house with outdoor seating, gas grill and fire pit area. There is a shiney artistic bar area within the house and the artifacts and decor really reflect the elegant simplicity of the desert. The property owners could not have been more welcoming, interesting and kind. It is hard to imagine a more comfortable, clean, spacious and elegant homebase anywhere. You will not be disappointed! It is a very special find!"

  • Lovely, relaxing vacation

"Everything noted by earlier reviewers is true! This is a lovely home in a magical setting. It’s decorated wonderfully, and fully equipped. The kitchen is the best equipped that we’ve ever found in a VRBO. The location is perfect - away from congestion, but close enough to get places. It’s a reasonable drive to downtown Tucson, or to the Sonora Desert Museum, for example. Quarry Pines golf course nearby is recommended for golfers. We enjoyed a great vacation here: wine on the deck at sunset; coffee in the morning at sunrise; a few dinners out; a lot of local sightseeing; and much, much relaxation."
