  • Excellent

"This was our second stay at the casita. We thoroughly enjoy it. It is very well equipped & comfortable. We love watching the humming birds & going to the beautiful pool. The owner is very accommodating to any of our needs or questions. We will probably try to stay again next time we visit our family."

  • Delightful Diversion in the Desert

"Mr. McElwaine's deluxe casita at Starr Pass Resort was a wonderful vacation for us for the entire month of June 2016. Everything we needed for a relaxing getaway was provided, included a fully furnished kitchen, comfortable living room, tv's in each of the three rooms, and patio with outstanding view of the mountains. The location on the west side of Tucson is very convenient to most of the city and suburbs, and we were downtown or on the interstate in minutes - something you can't say about the other resorts we visited located on the north or east side of town. While wifi is not provided, we took the free Marriott shuttle several times up to the main resort and used the internet in the lobby or Starbucks. We also took advantage daily of the wonderful, large pool and exercise room mere steps from our door. A nice surprise was the appearance of a number of desert animals visible from our patio: javelinas, deer, coyotes, road runners and many types of birds. I appeciate the fact that the designers of the complex tried to leave the desert untouched which allowed the wildlife to exist as always in spite of the development. Dave, the owner, stopped in to check on us during our stay, giving us ideas on where to eat and what to see. His son, who lives in the vicinity, was helpful when there was a problem with the cable tv reception, and the problem was resolved quickly. The monthly charge for this 2 br, 3 ba condo was very competitive for the area and allowed us to enjoy a month here, rather than a week or two which had been our original plan. I would recommend this casita to any one of my friends looking for a long or a short stay in Tucson."

  • A complete package

"The casita was comfortable and clean. Great views and Tucson Mountain Park trails just up the block. The pool and clubhouse is fantastic."

  • The desert starry sky, quiet and cool nites minutes from downtown

"We rented this house to attend our son's graduation, a place to stay, away from downtown traffic. What a pleasant surprise! We have arrived to a home! With beautiful decor, well kept, clean, a great layout. Wake up to the sunrise in the front porch, enjoy walks in the surrounding area, breakfast at the Mosaic cafe, horse rental minutes away, all of Tucdon in a few minutes, and at nite, grab a blanket and sit in the back yard to watch the sun set, and the most beautiful show on earth, a starry sky. Great hosting, all you may want is there, appliances, great linens and mattresses, cannot be any happier, we will rent it again for our next trip."
