  • Perfect fit for family of six

"I chose this rental because of its perfect design for an extended family of 6; our son, wife and two grand daughters (3 & 7). It has a large center living room and spacious remodeled kitchen, both bedrooms & baths are located on either side of the living room and that provides for a very nice and private layout. My son and wife wanted this Casita because their bedroom had two beds in it, much better when traveling with small children than trying to get them to stay in their own room in a new place. We came in Mid-June for a 3 day event at the JW Marriott, a short 2 min. drive away. The kids played daily in the olympic size pool and made lots of new friends. Being from Hawaii the children and my daughter in law have never seen many animals like squirrels, coyotes, Calif. Quail although we do have pigs in Hawaii that are similar to their cousins the Arizona Javelina's. We got to see all of these beautiful animals right outside the back sliding glass door, it was a wonderful experience for the girls. The kitchen in this rental is better stocked than ours at home, complete with bakeware, tupperware, lots of dishes and lovely glasses. We ate all meals in for the week that we were there and even had two friends that live in Tucson over for a bar-b-que on the last night. The floors throughout the units and patio have all been recently remodeled with lovely new terra-cotta tile and Arizona flagstone, yet again another reason for choosing this one over some of the others with white carpet... The bathroom was large enough to have a party in and the A/C keep us comfortable day and night. Debbie the owner was very easy to deal with and made our stay seamless. Here's to hopping that they have the event at Starr Pass JW Marriott again next year because we would love to come back and stay again. Thanks Debbie for allowing us to stay in your "Starr Pass Casita" it is a little slice of heaven in the middle of the desert."

  • Clean, comfortable, Convenient Casita

"We were happy with the property as well as the organization and responsiveness of the owner. We received check in detail before trip and the owner promptly answered emails that we had with questions about Starr Pass Golf club and the JW Marriott resort. She also called us the first day to make sure that we were settled in the casita and if we had any issues or questions!! The property was a 2 minute walk down to the Starr Pass Golf club, which was extremely convenient for the golfers in our group. We loved being able to walk up the JW Marriott resort - a 5 minute walk - for coffee, dinner, hanging out on the patios with great views and of course, the "traditional" Pancho Villa free tequila shot every evening at 5:30 PM! We were very comfortable at the casita and would recommend it to friends and family."

  • Space, desert beauty, peaceful, unusual and open architecture

"Very helpful manager, comfortable beds, well stocked, and clean. Especially appreciated the hummingbirds and having full feeders. Pool is lovely but too cold to swim in for us older folks. Can arrange to have it heated, but is costly. Loved the open desert space. Enjoyed a brief visit from a herd of Javelinas---fascinating and fun. A new gas grill and a fire pit added to the ambience. The house is custom built, unique, and attractive. It is oldish and has some maintenance needs. The sunken living room may be a classy idea, but has a safety issue with the step down in that it is not easy to see. Needs some bright tape along the edge or warning signs every four feet. Spoke with manager who will correct this. Some window coverings are damaged and couches are noticeably worn. Nevertheless, we really enjoyed this unique and beautiful property."
