  • An oasis in the desert

"We chose this property because of the interesting descriptions and it being out of the way, but still close to central Tucson. We had a GREAT TIME. The Casita is large with plenty of room for the two of us and everything was well organized and completely comfortable. We enjoyed getting to know our hosts, Jim and Karen, over a few glasses of wine. They provided an unending source of information for places to go, things to see, and outstanding food. We came with a few of our days already scheduled and had no problems filling the rest of the time with either exploring the southern part of Arizona based on Jim and Karen's information, or just sitting back on our patio and watching the never ending parade of birds and other wildlife in their backyard. It was great to completely relax and unwind and experience a part of the country very different from even the desert we have in southern California. We would highly recommend this property and our hosts Jim and Karen!"

  • Sonoran Retreat

"My husband and I stayed over the weekend for a special celebration and had a wonderful visit. Our favorite activities were just sitting on the porch swing (overlooking the city in a very peaceful setting) while we watched the sun rise and set each day. We enjoyed the same while experiencing a full moon. We hiked the Sweetwater trail which is within walking distance of this lovely casita. We explored the neighborhood, the downtown areas, the Sonoran Desert Museum and the Silverbell Lake. The accommodations were perfect for us, providing the privacy and benefits of being in a "home" vice a hotel room. Our hosts were very gracious as well. The home is comfortable and well stocked. Recommend this for anyone interested in enjoying solitude and beauty."

  • Awesome place to enjoy the Sonoran desert

"Our family of four stayed at this lovely guest house in April. The house is lovely and sits on a quiet piece of property near Tucson Mountain Park and Saguaro National Park. We enjoyed mountain biking and hiking at the nearby Sweetwater Preserve as well as Tucson Mountain Park, and the birds were great. Both around the property and nearby. It's a short drive in to town, but also far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet."

  • Lovely, relaxing vacation

"Everything noted by earlier reviewers is true! This is a lovely home in a magical setting. It’s decorated wonderfully, and fully equipped. The kitchen is the best equipped that we’ve ever found in a VRBO. The location is perfect - away from congestion, but close enough to get places. It’s a reasonable drive to downtown Tucson, or to the Sonora Desert Museum, for example. Quarry Pines golf course nearby is recommended for golfers. We enjoyed a great vacation here: wine on the deck at sunset; coffee in the morning at sunrise; a few dinners out; a lot of local sightseeing; and much, much relaxation."
