  • Awesome place to enjoy the Sonoran desert

"Our family of four stayed at this lovely guest house in April. The house is lovely and sits on a quiet piece of property near Tucson Mountain Park and Saguaro National Park. We enjoyed mountain biking and hiking at the nearby Sweetwater Preserve as well as Tucson Mountain Park, and the birds were great. Both around the property and nearby. It's a short drive in to town, but also far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet."

  • We did it again!

"We stayed for a second time at Sombrero Peak Casita and it was even better! It was everything you can ask for in a vacation home -- western facing patio to watch the sun set on the mountains, northern facing patio for morning coffee and to watch the rabbits and quail on their morning escapades, a sparkling private pool with bar-b-que area, private driveway and entry. Inside you will find whatever you need in a fully supplied kitchen; bright clean bathroom with dual sinks and beautiful large shower; sleeping for 3-4 with two separate bedroom areas; even your own washer and dryer! Roger and Chris make us feel right at home with their hospitality. Do yourself a favor and book your next vacation to Tucson at Sombrero Peak Casita!"

  • Lovely, relaxing vacation

"Everything noted by earlier reviewers is true! This is a lovely home in a magical setting. It’s decorated wonderfully, and fully equipped. The kitchen is the best equipped that we’ve ever found in a VRBO. The location is perfect - away from congestion, but close enough to get places. It’s a reasonable drive to downtown Tucson, or to the Sonora Desert Museum, for example. Quarry Pines golf course nearby is recommended for golfers. We enjoyed a great vacation here: wine on the deck at sunset; coffee in the morning at sunrise; a few dinners out; a lot of local sightseeing; and much, much relaxation."

  • This was the perfect place for our family gathering

"We stayed at Casa Amapola during the graduation week for University of Arizona. We needed a place where we could totally relax. We wanted comfortable indoor/outdoor living with spectacular mountain views - a quintessential Tucson desert experience. We found all that and more. Mark is a fantastic host and made us feel like the house was truly ours for the week. We highly recommend this beautiful desert retreat."
