We've stayed in many VBRO homes over the years and this was by far the best experience overall.
We stayed for a week in March to celebrate our 40th anniversary. Alan the manager greeted us and gave us a tour of the home and explained how to use the hot-tub and other features. He also took the time to help us find good places to eat and some activities in the area. When we had a question he was quick to cheerfully respond.
The owner, Jeff made securing our reservation a snap. . . The transaction went very smooth for payment. The terms of our stay were clearly spelled out and there were no last minute surprises.
We wanted privacy in a romantic setting and that's exactly what we experienced. No one came by to bother us. The pool and hot-tub were big hits which we enjoyed daily.
We especially enjoyed sitting under the stars at night relaxing in a hot-tub without a care.
Some of the reviews said the decor was "dated", we didn't see it that way. It has every modern convenience so don't take 'rustic' to mean anything negative. In fact we felt it was charming and easy to feel at home right away. The personal touches around the home made it a far more comfortable 'welcomed guest' experience.
Shopping and fine dining were as close as 5 miles down the road - but you still felt as if you were on a private estate in the desert.
Sometimes it can be a risky choosing a home from VBRO. We've found many of them are managed by real estate companies. Some good but on the down side, many can be impersonal and at times they omit things you only find out after you've arrived. Here everything worked and was exactly as advertised.
It's a gem in the desert and we will be back. . .
Thank you Alan and Jeff for a wonderful experience!
