  • Clean, well appointed, nicely decorated,

"Very accommodating owners. The unit is nicely furnished and came complete with all housewares, paper products laundry and bathing needs, and linens. All all furnishings and household items are high-quality. The unit is quiet and well insulated. The amenities were above and beyond expectations. Two beautiful pools and hot tubs as well as an exercise room and clubhouse. The landscaping and grounds are very well-maintained. This is a very high-quality rental. The complex is high-end and very safe. Other amenities include covered parking playground for children gas grills for cooking etc. this is our second time here and I just can't say enough good things about this unit. Sign up you won't be disappointed!!"

  • An oasis in the desert

"We just returned from a three week stay in Tucson at Caliente Creek Ranch. Located in the northeast section of Tucson, on a gated five acre private property, with stupendous views of the four mountain range surrounding Tucson, it was safe, secure, quiet... perfect for us two in our late sixties. We had to drive to everything but that didn't matter as Tucson is very spread out and anywhere you were you most likely would have to drive. We could walk less than 1/4 mi to back entrance of Agua Caliente Park across the street from the property's 1/10 mi long driveway, we could bike to the Safeway 6 mi away. 49er Golf Course was less than 5 mi away (cheap after 200 pm), two different hiking trails within Saguaro NP East were less than 20 min drive (one entrance off Tanque Verde Rd and the other off Broadway). The owners were lovely people and had a dog named Jack who was so friendly we coud take him for walks (his fave spot is the Caliente Creek and the wash behind the property) and he visited us frequently. The cottage is attached to the owner's house/residence yet we felt quite removed. The owners welcomed us with a bottle of wine and when we left they presented us with a goody bag of water, candy, grapes and cookies for our long journey home!! Barbara and Joe are kind, welcoming and willing to help us with whatever we needed (suggestions about trails, golf courses, restaurants, movie theatres, etc.). Very pleased with our choice of place to stay for three weeks. Wifi a little spotty at times, plenty of hot water. We enjoyed watching hummingbirds and quail feeding. We saw coyote, roadrunners in the neighborhood. Kitchen well equipped and previous guests left staples for us, as did we when we left. Will need a car unless you are an avid biker (bike lanes and trails everywhere, along with "share the road signs"). Suggested places to visit: Old Tucson movie set, Kitt Peak Observatory, Sabino Canyon hike (get there before 830 am for parking), Pima Air Museum (get there when door opens), dinner at the Arizona Inn... we golfed at 49ers and Rolling Hill GC (very walkable somewhat short course). Thanks to Barbara and Joe for making us feel so welcome!!"

  • Convenient Location But A Bit "Industrial"

"The casita is convenient to downtown Tucson, the University of Arizona and many tourist sites, but it's on an narrow street/alley behind a not-very-vibrant business district and not far from the railroad tracks and a park with quite a few homeless folks living in it. We got used to the train noises and the homeless folks never bothered us, but the casita was not a place where we wanted to spend a lot of time; we just used it as a "home base" for sleeping and showering. And for that use, the place was a good value. As for interior amenities, the kitchen was adequate, but could have used more silverware; the linens were good, but the bed was softer than we like; and the AC worked fine, but it would have been nice if windows opened and stayed open by themselves (they were in very poor shape)."

  • Lovely home and neighborhood

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely home. It was decorated nicely, clean and well stocked. The three patios were a joy -- we moved from one to the other depending on the time of day. We took many walks throughout the Civano neighborhood, admiring the fauna and birds, used the pools and, of course, stopped at the coffee shop. We highly recommend!"
