  • RELAXING STAY IN LOVELY GREEN VALLEY TOWNHOME!

"If a quiet, relaxing getaway with all of the comforts of home is what you desire, this is the perfect vacation rental! Judy was the perfect hostess, making sure everything we needed was available at this beautiful, spotless townhome, even greeting us with a celebratory bottle of champagne for our wedding anniversary! Located in a very well-maintained, quiet neighborhood, yet close to all conveniences, with easy access to shopping and good restaurants, it was easy to feel "at home" here. The townhome is a very spacious 2 bedroom/2 bath home, with a finished garage - a bonus in desert life! Bird watching, shopping, golf, hiking - all are easy to do here. But this home says "Relax!" The townhome's peaceful setting is perfect for artists, writers, and those whose creativity is inspired by nature's beauty and tranquility. We enjoyed the patio and beautiful mountain views daily, and took shopping excursions to the interesting, ecclectic village of Tubac, only a few miles down the road; visited the world-class Pima Air and Space Museum on the southern edge of Tucson, an easy 30 minute drive away; explored trails and mountain roads all in and around the Green Valley area. It's all here: beauty, history, nature and exciting tastes - it was the perfect home base for our vacation."

  • Lots to Like

"The location was great - close to the club house and backing onto a wash. Backyard visitors included javelinas, coyotes, roadrunners and a beautiful American kestrel. But there were maintenance issues: the propane grill didn't work until repaired by a local handyman that our realtor found for us. The gas fire pit wouldn't stay lit, the shower drain in the second bathroom was very slow. The kitchen was well appointed with plenty of flatware, dishes and glasses. However, the knives and even the vegetable peeler were very dull, bordering on the unusable. Lots to do in the area. If you're an outdoors type, there's hiking and birding in Madera Canyon. The ANZA complex in Quail Creek has two pools and a well equipped gym. The Grill in the club house offers good food that is well priced. There are also a couple of old Spanish missions within an hour's drive. We didn't get to do everything we wanted to do because we were busy buying a new house in QC. We like it that much. The owner was responsive to phone calls but not emails while we were there. We would rent again."

  • Cat bird seat

"When we arrived at High Road House there was half and half, artisan bread, eggs, jam, butter, coffee, muffins and even mustard in the refrigerator. The place was very clean and pleasing. The little porch is so pleasant and perfect to sit in and look at the town and mountains. It is so close to the action yet removed enough to be quiet and relaxing. This is the second time we have stayed here and we'll do it again. The view is beautiful. The landscaping outside of the porch is lovely and attracts so many birds and hummingbirds!"
