  • Very Peaceful Setting

"Having to come down in the heat of summer we did not know what to expect. We only stayed at the Casita to sleep and have morning coffee because of family commitments, but it was the perfect resting place for us. Very quiet and a beautiful sitting area for our morning coffee. We can only imagine how beautiful the sunsets are. We would love to find the time to spend a few weeks in the winter. We are sure it has to be one of the most relaxing places you could find. We only got to meet the owners one morning but I assure you that they will help to make your stay very pleasurable."

  • Stunning Views

"We wanted to stay in a home with a view while vacationing in Tucson. We got the views and so much more. The home and pool have stunning views of the city and the mountains. The location of the property in the resort was very private. We had the best of both worlds, privacy and security. The house and grounds were very well maintained. The house is beautiful, inside and out. The rooms were spacious and well furnished. We really appreciated the extra seating (couches, chairs) in the bedrooms. It was nice to have a place to sit and read other than in the living areas. The house was fully stocked with everything you would need. The pool was refreshing. We used it every day. It was a great place to relax and enjoy the water and the views. Jason was readily available to answer any questions we had. The rental binder he provided contained a lot of information and was very helpful. We enjoyed our 'Desert' experience and would stay here again. We highly recommend this property."

  • BACK IN TIME

"A senior German couple, we enjoyed the two weeks of our stay and called that place a home - a comfortable one with much charm. You will find many memories of Old Mexico in style and architecture. Therefore the casita is not only a secluded getaway to enjoy a lazy day or a starting point for adventurous hikes into the nearby mountains and the Sonoran desert (beginning with the easy stroll through the fantastic Sonora Desert Museum only a few miles away) but also an inspiring "base camp" from where you can travel back in time: to the reminders of the "Spanish Entrada" (Presidio Tubac, Missions San Xavier del Bac and Tumacacori), to the atmosphere of the Wild West (much more than only visiting the tourist trap of "Old Tucson" nearby), and to so many places where Apache Indians lived their secret lives or lurked for landhungry immigrants, greedy miners or Cavalry patrols, lost in the deserts. Yes, on our last day in the casita we played ourselves "Apache Scout Sentinel" high on the cliffs of two Saguaro studded Beehive buttes in front and behind the Casita. We would be very happy to return to this pittoresque and hospitable spot some day."

  • It's a wowser!!

"The casita, the location, Claire and Larry, and the setting are simply wonderful. How wonderful? The acid test: We have already made our reservation to return next year and for a longer stay. Set against the Tortelino Mountains, with the Santa Catalinas, the Santa Ritas, the Rincon and the Tucson mountains on the horizon you cannot find a better place to be. There is a 2 mile walking loop through the desert, starting at the front door. Within 10 minutes we were at the trail head in the Tortelinos, and within 15 minutes at one of the trailheads in the Santa Catalinas. The tennis court is right outside the backdoor. Downtown Tucson is 25 minutes away. In 5 minutes you can be at a first rate supermarket. Sitting on the patio, we spotted 27 species of birds, many rabbits and lizards. Javelinas and deer and who knows what else are in the wilds nearby should you wish to seek them out. Cactus is in abundance. Claire and Larry are gracious and always ready to help if needed. Their house is situated so you and they have complete privacy. The casita is very comfortable, informal , and had almost everything we needed to make our stay very, very pleasant. The kitchen is well stocked. The beds are great. Having the guest bedrooms and bath off a separate hallway of the casita gave us and our visitor’s their own space. We just loved the place and our stay."
