"Unbelievable location! We were 1 1/2 blocks from the start/finish of the 'tour'...what a lucky find this vintage home was. The Herbert House is charming, to say the least! It has been lovingly taken care of, is clean, and has everything you could possibly need for a short or long-term stay. The revitalization of downtown is wonderful and what better way to enjoy it than to stay at the Herbert House, just a couple of blocks away. The area is safe, the neighbors are friendly and the hosts, Adam and Andy are very gracious and caring, attending to every need you may have. We highly recommend this house and if we ever need a place to stay in Tucson, this will be our first choice, and it should be for others, as well. Thank you Herbert House for letting us and our families celebrate within your walls for a few days. Sylvia & Wayne Gardner"

  • the most accurate assessment is that the 'casita' was as represented- expectations met.

"we stayed 5 nights. owners were helpful but not intrusive. poolside, the property looks from west Tucson foothills NW to Catalinas- a perfect sundowner spot. the 'casita ' patio looks into a palo verde/cactii filled wash alive with the dove, quail , hawks and happily the songbirds and hummers which had already left our place in Wyoming, but which we rejoined in Tucson. a very enjoyable, comfortable and quiet base camp for all the exploring, urban and more back country, a person would like to do."

  • Great Condo, best location.

"We had a great experience. There were only two of us, but with 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths, it would be comfy for as many as 3 couples. And its location in the Catalina Foothills is ideal. Not only is it Tucson's most desirable neighborhood, but it also has shopping and dining literally walking distance (a real rarity in Arizona). And from the nearby main intersection of Sunrise and Swan, virtually anywhere you would want to go in Tucson, whether it's UofA or Sun City, is just a few minutes away. Laurie was a wonderful host. She is also a real estate agent, and made time to show us some appropriate properties, as we told her we were thinking of relocating. You can't go wrong with this."

  • Interesting home

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The location was convenient to the Sonoran Desert Museum and all of our other activities. The house was exceptionally clean. We would like to suggest they provide more dishtowels and a few more dishes, cups, bowls, etc. as we had to run the dishwasher frequently."
