  • Nice Quiet Rustic Property

"The owners were super nice and accommodating. Even though we arrived at 3am, Rita was there to show us the way, thank you! A bowl of fruit and a few boxes of snacks were there to welcome us which was a nice touch. We spent and cooked thanksgiving here and it was just a nice home away from home. Lots of pots, plates, etc. Sleeps more than 5 as there are 3 beds (1 king and 2 full) plus a pull out couch, however the 3rd bedroom with bath might not always be available as it was off the main rental area. If you are looking for horses on the property there were none to be seen but the views of the mountain are perfect from the kitchen window and outdoor seating area. WiFi was spotty at best but cell service was fine. A nice large TV to watch some shows on a very comfy leather sectional. Although there was a pool on the owner's side of the fence, it was not heated and there was no hot tub as specified on the HomeAway site. Bring your toiletries! There was shampoo and bar soap in the shower but I prefer my own as neither of these were new. Close to the grocery store, Sabino Canyon, and Mt. Lemmon."

  • Wonderful guest house in a great location!

"This guest house was very clean, comfortable, fully equipped and beautifully decorated. It has a nice patio area for sitting outside to enjoy morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. It's in a quiet neighborhood, within walking distance of a park and the wonderful Rincon Market, which has gourmet coffee, wine, prepared foods and a deli. We liked the central location on a quiet street that was still close enough to major streets to go anywhere in Tucson. The owners were very helpful when we inquired about WiFi access, quickly responding to our text with the information. This place is ideal for a couple looking for a quiet, comfortable guest house in the middle of town."

  • Beautiful desert views

"This is a sweet little guesthouse just off River Road. The views of the desert are spectacular and it feels remote, but it's quite convenient to things in the city. It feels safe with the gated entrance and owners nearby, although it's very private. It's good for a single or couple. There's a pool, although it was too cold to use in December. All the basics are in the kitchen (pans and dishes, not food). I did have a hard time finding it in the dark when I arrived, despite the good map, and that kept me from going out at night as much as I might have otherwise. I finally figured out it's 7/10 of a mile from Hacienda del Sol, and that the drive is at the spot where there are big 35 mph reflective markers marking a curve on River. A few more amenities like soap would be nice, but it was a nice place at an excellent price for the foothills."
