  • Nice condo in a good location

"Our main goal in visiting Tucson was to escape the gloom of a Willamette Valley winter. We wanted to hike in the desert, explore Sabino Canyon, visit Tucson's highlights, which for us included the Gem and Mineral Show, and the Sonora Desert Museum. The property is in a good location to get just about anywhere. Sabino Canyon was a highlight, and it's within a short drive. The Rillito River bike trail, a paved trail that's at least 10 miles long, is within a couple of hundred yards of the property. There are plenty of restaurants within either a short walk or a short drive, and the Sprouts grocery story is just around the corner. It's a smaller and better version of Whole Foods. Trader Joe's is within a half mile, so it's easy to get anything you need. The condo itself is clean and well-appointed. Nicely furnished, with great high speed wifi. The pool was closed, but since the temperatures were in the low 60s, we wouldn't have used it. It would have been nice to have an outdoor area to sit in the sun, but there was no lack of parks and other public spaces nearby. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property. Side note: We were unaware that the 65th annual Tucson Gem and Mineral Show was starting just as we were leaving. We did get to visit many of the vendors, though, and it was absolutely amazing. A breath-taking variety of gems, fossils, rocks, and minerals. It was the most memorable part of our stay in Tucson. I highly recommend it."

  • Beautiful SW Home

"We chose this home for a vacation due to its location close to my daughter. It is located on the east side of Tucson in an area where homes are located on 1 acre+ lots, so you have privacy (be prepared for non-paved access, but can easily get to property even with standard car). The house is very well-maintained and the owner provided quick responses to our questions. We had three small children and three adults and there was ample room for sleeping arrangements and day-to-day activities. You have relatively close access to grocery stores and some restaurants. Also close access to McDonald park for children. There is quick access to the main arterials that take you to into the city. This house is everything you would want for a more isolated, but comfortable stay in the desert SW!"

  • Delightful

"This is a delightful place in a great part of town. Easy to get downtown. The grounds are well tended and wildlife abounds. The living areas are spotless, spacious and uncluttered. We'd come back without hesitation. Thanks, Mike!"

  • An Amazing Desert Treasure

"This retreat is the best of both worlds - beautiful desert panoramic views within minutes of Tucson's shopping & restaurants. We loved the many hiking trails close by. Our hostess, Susanne, is always very helpful & makes sure we enjoy our stay. This is our second visit & we hope to come again next year."
